A short excerpt from the book, "Spiritually Parented: A Foot in Both Worlds" from Chapter 24: "Re-Member Who You Are." I'm sharing this prayer to support listeners in their own healing process. You are not alone. You deserve love and support for where you are in this moment.

Hi,

This is Meg Gibbs,

And I'm so excited for you to join me for a short excerpt from my book Spiritually Parented,

A Foot in Both Worlds.

This specific chapter is about remembering.

Remembering is not passive.

It is an active process that takes effort,

Patience,

Love,

And forgiveness of self and others.

This is no easy task,

Nor is it something to be entered into without a strong foundation of support,

Both internally and externally.

We all have a reason for living or a foundational theme we circle back to over and over again.

For me,

This is healing.

I've chosen to be fully committed to a lifetime process of healing.

It's not always easy,

But it is always worth it.

With that declaration,

I want to share a prayer for your own remembering.

Spirit,

I want to leave this life whole,

To pick up the pieces of me I've left along the way,

To call light into the cracks and jagged edges from where I've split from myself.

May I always have access to trust,

My own knowing and divine timing.

May spirit speak clearly and surround me with love when it is time to face the edges of my soul.

May my inner voice and support crew on earth know me well enough to see the new me,

Thoroughly and completely,

Seams and all.

May my heart feel fueled by fire.

May my lungs breathe in fresh air.

May my feet be planted firmly on the earth,

And may I decide when I want to move against or with the current.

May the parts of me that split know they have a home here,

Always,

In my body,

In my energy,

In my soul.

May I take the pieces I rejected and recollect them with love.

May I wash them clean,

With salt and rainwater under the moon to weave them back into remembrance,

Calling all the pieces of me home.

Deep breath,

My loves.

Your healing is in motion.

Thank you.
