The Curious Heart.
In a tiny village far far away,
A curious heart lived among other hearts,
Giving love to all of the world.
The curious heart often wondered what this world looked like that needed so much love.
So the curious heart decided to find out.
This curious heart decided to fly around the world.
This curious heart grew beautiful golden wings that stretched far and wide.
Can you snuggle up now next to this curious heart or perhaps gently laying on its golden wings?

This curious heart crossed the vast ocean of blue and turquoise waves and high seas and saw oil spills blackening the water,
Turtles nibbling on bits of plastic,
Whales crying for help.
The heart sighed deeply.

Thought the heart,
But the journey had only just begun.
The heart flew over forests and great trees of ancient times only to hear the sounds of chainsaws and trucks,
The voices of loggers and the crash and creaks of falling trunks leaving another barren space in a once crowded forest.
More love is needed here,
Thought the heart.
The heart flapped its golden strong wings to keep going.
The heart saw from afar skyscrapers and traffic that filled the roads and cities bursting with people.
The sky above looked dark and dirty.
The air was filled with the sound of sirens from accidents and crimes.
People felt worried and rushed around with serious faces.
Some sat on street corners praying for a plate of food,
A roof over their heads and clean clothes.
The rushing people did not see the street people.
More love is needed here,
Thought the heart.
The curious heart was beginning to feel disheartened.
It flew over shopping centers to see people buying things they didn't need.
It flew over schools and longed to hold the dear children who also felt worry in their bellies and sadness in their eyes.
The curious heart did not know what to do so it returned to the village to report what it had seen.
No wonder we are so busy,
There is very little love around the world.
We must beat much much harder,
Explained the curious heart.
The hearts all got together to talk about how they would solve this heartless problem.
They were already beating very hard.
The chief heart decided they could not have any days off.
I wonder if it would help if we gave everyone their own hearts full of love,
Asked a little hopeful heart.
All the hearts thought this was definitely worth a try.
Sadly all the hearts said their heartfelt goodbyes but began to be filled with peace once more.
The hearts opened their gold and strong wings and flew out across all of the world into the blue oceans,
The green forests,
The busy cities.
They flew into the worried children,
The serious adults,
The street-corner people.
It was then that things started to change.
People started to feel love.
Their bodies felt full and alive.
Their hearts grew.
They spoke lovingly.
They acted with care.
They looked at the ocean,
The trees and animals with awe and gratitude.
People felt courageous,
Peaceful and most of all they felt love in their hearts and bodies and minds.
The people felt free.
People stopped littering and began cleaning up where they lived,
Worked and played.
They planted more trees to make up for the ones chopped down.
They stopped rushing around and began to talk to people around them.
They nurtured the earth.
The people rushing helped the street-corner people and the street- corner people smiled at the worried children,
All with love in their hearts.
Slowly yet peacefully love began to spread across the world again through beating hearts inside each and every human.
And although the hearts were never able to be together again,
They knew it had to be this way until the end of time.
People with hearts full of love create a world full of love.
Now it's time to rest those sleepy eyes.
It's time to let your heart that works so hard for you every day to rest too.
