Per request, this is a throwback to one of my earliest stories. This sleep story will take you on a train, where you may gently fall asleep with the sounds of a locomotive as you pass by an enchanting landscape beneath a starry sky. Best enjoyed with headphones, this talkdown is led by a soothing female voice that will help you dream away.

You are listening to Journey on a Train,

A guided meditation and talk down that will assist you in relaxing and falling into a deep and healing sleep.

You may recall times as a small child when being in motion and listening to the solid white noise of a car or a train in motion eased you into some of the deepest sleep in your life.

Now we can hope to achieve this level of tranquility and bliss again.

Before we begin,

I would like you to find a comfortable place to relax and let go without interruption.

A place where you may safely fall into a sleep without harm.

As you get comfortable and bed down,

Wondering when the hypnosis process will begin,

Know that it already has and you are doing everything that you are supposed to be doing right now.

It is your time and you should congratulate yourself for taking the time in your day for this healing and restorative meditation.

During this journey on a train,

We are going to come across stops along the way that will further assist you in letting go of unnecessary baggage,

Manifesting your destiny and most sacred of dreams and goals.

And lastly,

Meeting with a future ideal version of yourself.

And each time you hear me utter the words,

Let go,

You will find that you become ten times more relaxed.

You need not listen to all the instructions I give,

As this is your time and you are in control.

If it helps,

You may focus on the spaces between words instead of listening to what I tell you to do.

This is entirely your choice.

As you feel your body becoming very heavy,

Allow yourself to visualize the train car where you are now going to relax.

In the train car is a large trunk that you have packed yourself.

Your room on this train can be decorated any way that you like because this is your meditation and your journey.

Perhaps there are curtains left just slightly open so you can glimpse out at the lights of cities and the stars in the sky as the train barrels forward.

There is also a very comfortable chair that is plush and welcoming.

Whatever will make you feel most cozy and at home will be in this room.

And to the right is a large welcoming bed with many pillows and dressed in your favorite colors.

You first take a seat in the chair,

Leaning back into it and feeling heavy and relaxed.

Relaxation has never come so easy and you feel the motion of the train rocking and lulling you into a trance.

The gentle rumbling of the tracks allows you to move ever so slightly to and fro,

To and fro in a comfortable rocking motion as you let go.

And as you take a deep breath and slowly exhale,

You take note of the large antique truck in your quarters.

You begin to remember packing it with all the things in this life that you no longer need because on this journey you find yourself yearning to feel lighter and to let go.

And in order to let go,

You have packed wisely.

You begin to recall all that is in the trunk,

Relics of the past and past relationships that no longer serve you.

Worries of the day and recurring concerns that hold you back are packed deep within the trunk,

Shrinking and shrinking so they may be contained as they become smaller and smaller.

All the fears and doubts you have been struggling with are also pushed into that trunk.

And as you think of how light you feel just finding a place to move those weighty negative things to,

The train slows into a station.

As the train comes to a stop,

The windows of your room suddenly become large French doors that open on their own.

And as they open,

You find the trunk moves very easily,

Falling onto the station platform.

These concerns and worries are no longer yours for the keeping,

No longer your burdens.

You take a deep inhale and feel gratitude as you let go.

After a moment of feeling free and relaxed,

The train pushes forward.

A light breeze meets you and you look back at the trunk,

All alone on the platform in the night.

You look ahead to the beautiful landscape of dark hills and tall grass and as you turn around again to see your trunk,

You see it has vanished into the night.

You realize it is quite pleasant to feel the open breeze of your open train car and leave the doors as they are.

You settle into your bed and cover with a blanket,

Falling into a sleep.

And in the sleep,

You are very calm,

Very relaxed as you let go.

The train continues on this journey,

Chugging along as the starry night sky illuminates its path.

You find yourself snuggled and bedding down,

Knowing you are well on your way to a moment of great self-discovery.

To bring you deeper into relaxation,

You find yourself counting five breaths,

Deeply inhaling and relaxing as you exhale.

Inhale 1 and exhale 1.

Exhale 2.

Exhale 2.

Inhale 3.

Peacefully exhaling 3.

Now inhale number 4 and exhale 4.

Peacefully inhale number 5,

Holding just a second as then you exhale number 5.

Continuing on this journey over the tracks,

You find yourself falling into a deep sleep through the vibrations of the train rocking you back and forth.

Back and forth you find your dreams beginning.

And in these dreams you feel confirmation.

They are proving to you that all you have sought in this life is within reach.

And as you are lulled into these dreams,

You realize the train is pulling into its next stop.

And at this stop,

You find all the items you need to assist you in achieving your dreams.

Perhaps there is a mentor you have sought,

Or an instrument or tool you have needed,

Or a skill you have wanted to learn.

Maybe it is a feeling,

A feeling of confidence and self-reliance.

Because you are strong and you are never alone.

There is always a channel you may open within yourself to attract whatever you need to accomplish your greatest desires in this life.

You are doing exactly what it takes.

Right now as you let go,

Finding yourself,

Finding your way.

Your eyes open and you look out onto the station platform as the train comes to a stop.

And all the things you have longed for,

Whatever they may be,

You now see on the platform.

And you awaken and step down in a dream-like trance,

Stepping onto the platform and watching as everything you have needed magically floats from the station into your train car.

You ascend behind these tools and needed items and feel gratitude wash over you like a warm ocean wave on a summer day.

Like the ocean,

This moment is much bigger than you and you feel very much connected to it.

Because you are part of this and this is part of you.

The train continues barreling down the tracks towards your future self.

And on this venture,

Visions of an earlier you appear.

They're the times when you felt the best about yourself.

Now try to show me,

Project these memories that are of your best versions of yourself in this life.

You see a time when you were profoundly happy.

And if you cannot remember this,

Perhaps a time when you just couldn't control your laughter.

Maybe you have to go way back into your early years.

Or maybe you are lucky enough to have felt a fit of unbridled laughter and joy recently.

You see yourself accomplishing something that took more work than you may have ever imagined it would take.

And all these past versions of yourself have made you the you you are today.

And they are bringing you on this train towards your future self.

The self that you long to become.

The train continues to rock,

To propel forward,

Passing stations,

Passing trees and towns,

Passing a bountiful stream that reflects rays of light from the vibrant moon above.

And the dark purple black sky full of stars feels full of hope because you imagine that each star can carry on its back a single wish.

And there are many wishes to be had.

The train pulls into the next station and there,

Under the gleam of the moonlight,

Is your future self,

Wiser,

Content and happy to see you.

Because without the you that exists right now,

This future you would not be here.

You feel peace and a soundness in knowing that you will prevail.

And you will be all that you hope for and all that you work towards.

Your future self waves to you and smiles and you return to your bed in the train car.

And you take a deep breath and snuggle and feel the train rock back and forth,

Back and forth into a deep and sound and blissful reverie.

Each vibration brings you further to sleep as we count together.

Relaxing even further than you ever thought was possible.

Tucked within this train car like a cocoon,

Like being in a womb,

It gives you the quiet and safe place to grow and to dream,

To bring you to the person you are meant to be.

And the silence between my words is met by the relaxing sounds of the moving tracks,

The sound of movement towards all you desire.

But for right now,

You may let go and you may let each thought drift away into the starry night sky.

Because now is the time to honor your very tired mind and body that deserve to rest and relax.

To be safe,

To be calm,

And to drift further and further away from consciousness to a place that will allow you to rejuvenate and ready yourself for another day in this life.

Imagining your dreams,

Letting go,

Moving along,

Traveling,

Drifting,

Finding peace,

Steadying yourself.

This is your time to dream,

To sleep,

Going deeper and deeper to the place where the most uninhibited and open minded version of yourself may be found.

You can be kind to yourself in this safe place,

Feeling so very sleepy and relaxed,

Coming down,

Down,

Down to a restful sleep.

A place where you are able to be alone and look inside yourself where there is stillness and it is very quiet and peaceful.

Feeling sleep,

Feeling thankful as you unwind and open yourself to realizing all that you dream of and desire in your life is waiting for you.

Simply relaxed and content and fulfilled,

Tomorrow will bring you another day closer to your realized dreams because you are very blessed to have another day ahead of you where you can dream and create fulfillment in your life.

But for now,

Just finding peace and finding sleep,

Breathing gently as though you are already deeply asleep.

Because it feels so good to be this relaxed and to be so sure that everything is fine and at peace,

Finding sleep.

This was great all the way round. Thoughtful story, train sounds in the background we’re just right (not too loud or distracting), voice also just right, calm & soothing. This got me very relaxed β€”- had it been a bit longer, I would have fallen asleep which was the goal! I recommend going on this audio ride.
