Let's talk about perfectionism.
That sneaky voice that tells us we can't move forward until everything's just right.
This project needs more polish.
The idea needs more time.
We need to be better before we begin.
And it's a mindset that sounds productive,
But in truth,
It often leaves us frozen.
Half-finished work.
Unstarted dreams.
Exhaustion from the weight of never being enough.
I'm guilty of it too.
So today,
Let's take a breath together.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And just remember that progress doesn't come from perfection.
It comes from motion.
From showing up,
Even if your hands shake.
From starting small,
Even if it's messy.
Perfection is a moving target,
And often it's one that we invent ourselves.
But growth?
Well,
Growth lives in imperfection.
In vulnerability.
In just trying anyway.
So as you sit here and breathe,
Just maybe notice where perfection has been holding you back.
What could it feel like to take one imperfect step toward your goal?
We're allowed to be imperfect.
Unfinished.
To be continually growing and working toward an end goal.
To offer what you have as you are.
It's like Leonard Cohen once wrote,
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in.
So maybe let that be your reminder today.
Your imperfections aren't flaws to fix.
They're openings.
Places where life and creativity and connection pour through.
And that's,
Well,
That's more than enough.
Thank you so much for joining me.
