Feel free to sit or lie down for this practice.
There are days when you just don't feel your best.
Your body might feel tight and achy and your heart might feel heavy and lonely.
The mind chatters don't stop even though you have no energy left to deal with anything.
Your perfectionist self says,
But there are still so many things to cross off on the to-do list.
The thought of not being productive is so hard to tolerate.
At a time like this,
You no longer have the capacity to do your best work.
Slowing down is the next best thing.
Close your eyes and just listen.
It's okay to let go of your to-do list.
Let go of what you think others expect of you.
Let go of the high standard you set for yourself.
Let go of the desire to do more and go faster.
It's okay to let yourself rest because your to-do list can't wait.
Let yourself relax because you're not failing anyone.
Let yourself breathe because you are already good enough.
Let yourself be because you're exactly where you are meant to be right now.
Now breathe breathe deeper and allow yourself to slow down.
Get some rest and relaxation time because you deserve it.
What does slowing down look like to you today?
If you have a hard time envisioning it,
What's holding you back?
Are you resisting?
Are you worried?
Are you feeling anxious?
If yes,
Sit with these feelings.
Accept them as they are a part of you.
Let your feelings flow without becoming attached to them.
It's okay to feel what you feel right now.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
We'll repeat that a few times together.
Every time when you breathe in,
Imagine you are drawing in love.
Every time you breathe out,
You are releasing fear and worry.
Let's do this together.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Breathe out through the mouth,
Breathe in and out,
Breathe in and out,
Breathe in and out.
Take it slow today.
You can recalibrate everything tomorrow.
Being kind to yourself and caring for yourself means you can show up and give the world the best version of you tomorrow.
Continue to breathe,
To rest and to let yourself be.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
May your life be filled with love,
Gratitude and compassion.
Until next time,
Be well.
