Begin by finding a position that feels comfortable and supportive for the body.
Allow yourself to settle in.
There's nowhere you need to rush off to.
Nothing to figure out.
Nothing you need to carry for these next few moments.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long breath out.
Again,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And breathing out.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to relax.
Let your body know that for right now it is safe to be here.
Bring your awareness to this support beneath you.
Feeling the chair,
The bed,
Or the floor.
Under your body.
Notice that you are already being held.
And as you breathe.
Imagine roots extending down from the base of your spine.
Moving through your hips your legs and your feet.
Reaching deep into the earth beneath you.
Allowing yourself to feel grounded.
Steady.
Supported.
Take another slow breath in.
And as you continue to breathe,
Allow your awareness to expand.
Becoming aware of the room around you.
The sounds around you.
Against your skin.
And then expanding it a little further.
Beyond this room.
Beyond this place where you are sitting.
Beyond this building.
Becoming aware that you are part of something so much bigger.
You are part of this earth.
Part of nature.
Out of life itself.
And beyond all of that.
Become aware of something greater.
Maybe you call it God,
The universe.
Sauce.
Spirit.
The divine.
Love.
Or maybe you don't have a name for it at all.
There is no right way.
No right belief.
Just allow yourself to become aware.
There is something bigger than you.
Something that has held generations before you.
Something that continues to move the tides,
Grow the trees and bring the sun up each morning.
Take a breath in.
And simply notice what it feels like to consider that you are held within that tube.
Because somewhere along the way.
.
.
Many of us learned that we had to carry a life all by ourselves.
We had to have all of the answers.
That we had to have everything together.
Maybe that was never the plan.
Maybe you were never meant to do this alone.
Take another breath and imagine yourself surrounded by a loving presence.
A presence that asks nothing of you.
Presence that doesn't need you to earn your place.
Presence that remains with you on the good days and the hard days.
And if there's something heavy you've been carrying.
Something you've been worrying about.
Something you've been trying to control or solve.
Imagine placing it down for a moment.
Not forever.
Just for now.
Allowing yourself to loosen your grip.
Allowing yourself to be supported.
Breathing in support.
Breathing out pressure.
Breathing in love.
Breathing out the belief that you have to hold everything alone.
Resting here for a few moments.
Receiving.
Allowing.
Being held.
And imagine yourself walking through life.
Through ordinary days,
Through uncertain moments,
Through beautiful moments.
Through difficult seasons.
And notice that you are not walking alone.
Support walks with you.
Love walks with you.
Wisdom walks with you.
Something greater always walks with you.
Even when you forget.
Even when life feels messy.
Even when you feel uncertain.
You don't have to carry every answer.
You don't have to know exactly where you are going.
You don't have to do this perfectly.
You're allowed to lean.
You're allowed to receive.
You're allowed to trust that support exists,
Even when you cannot see it.
Take another breath.
And allow these words to settle into your heart and into your body.
I don't have to carry everything alone.
I am supported.
I am hell.
I belong.
I can soften my grip.
I can receive help.
I can trust that I am not always walking through life on my own.
Take a few moments here,
Resting in that truth.
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Just breathing.
Just receiving.
When you're ready.
Begin to bring your awareness back into the room around you.
Feeling the support beneath your body again.
Noticing any sounds.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Taking one final slow breath.
And as you exhale,
Carrying with you the reminder that support is not always something you have to earn.
Has always been available.
No matter what lies ahead.
You do not have to walk through it alone.
You never have.
And whenever you need to,
You can return here.
