Floating Meditation.

Today we're going to take you on a visualization based around a fish tank.

The aim is to relax your mind and body,

And if you struggle with any aspects,

I'd like you to just breathe and let any judgement float away.

I believe people's relationship with water and what lurks down there is how we deal with the day to day world.

Some people don't like to swim out of their depths,

And maybe this transpires to not ever following their dreams due to self doubt.

Today I'd like to say thank you to the amygdala,

The part of the brain that sees the danger in everything,

And reassure that monkey in your mind that everything is fine and you are safe.

So as you sit here,

Or lay here,

Without judgement,

I would like to take you to picture yourself laid on the bottom of an aquarium fish tank,

Having the power to breathe easily underwater in a safe,

Warm,

Peaceful place.

After me,

I am safe,

I am brave,

I am loved.

Take a deep breath in,

And on an out breath,

Imagine yourself floating in the glistening blue water.

Take a deep breath into your abdomen,

Hold and let go.

Into your abdomen,

Hold and let go of the tension.

Breathe into your abdomen,

Hold and float further into the relaxation.

And as you lay here relaxed,

You notice the school of clownfish popping their heads playfully in and out of the water,

In a blushing rose coloured coral reef.

Notice the lateral lines of this beautiful fish,

Recognise the depth of the bold orange.

Now breathe in and imagine the beautiful orange colour.

Look up through your legs,

Past your thighs,

Up past your pelvis,

Past your torso,

Through your neck,

Feel the orange come into your head.

Imagine the colour coming out of your mouth as tension.

Let the orange cloud of smoke fade into the distance.

Now notice the pearly white colour on this beautiful piece of nature.

Breathe the pearly colour up through your feet and legs and thighs,

Hips and torso,

Into your abdomen,

Chest and neck.

Push the pearly white smoke out of your throat with force,

Letting go of all that tension and relax.

As you lay here,

Take note that your body is 80% water.

Can you almost feel the gentle swishing from side to side?

Use your mind or find feelings to sense an octopus.

Observe its fascinating arms move in various directions.

Feel the water in your body move with these motions.

Sway and just let go.

Let your body move in sync with this incredible intelligent animal.

Have three hearts.

If you can,

Fixate your mind or sense them.

Imagine all three hearts becoming a light,

A light straight into your heart.

Feel the love and strength of this spirit animal.

It's sending you love.

It's filling you with creativity and intelligence.

Absorb its heart presence.

Really suck it in as if you're one of its suckers.

Imagine three lights beaming.

See the light,

Captivate its presence.

Breathe the light in.

Feel the energy in your hands.

Place them on your heart.

Say to yourself,

I am love.

I receive love.

I'm surrounded by love.

My love is precious.

I believe in love.

The love I seek also seeks me.

The universe is guiding me to love.

As you lay here,

Floating in love,

You notice a sleeping shark next to you.

Focus on your head.

Breathe into your head and scan the power that sleeps here beside you.

Now I want you to imagine you are the shark.

Notice your strength in your shoulders.

Breathe into your shoulders saying,

I am strong.

Breathe out the tension.

Focus on your razor sharp teeth and breathing.

I am powerful.

Breathe out tension.

Feel your gills and breathing.

I am alive.

Breathe out the tension.

Move your attention to your tail,

Which is used to stun and whip your prey.

Let's whip all your future hopes and dreams to your awareness and ponder with them for a second.

Breathe in the strength to act upon them.

Breathe in the power and breathe out tension.

Relax here,

Knowing that your future is protected.

Whatever life brings to you,

Have the strength to get through.

The hope to create,

The faith to relax and the belief to surrender.

Perhaps start to notice your relationship with the natural world and animals.

Maybe you can unfold some hidden traits in yourself that you can work on.

Please just lay here,

Relaxing with your hopes and dreams,

With the love that you've brought to yourself today.

And when you're ready,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Maybe do some journaling about your hopes and dreams.

Love and peace to your soul.
