In this meditation, we will use visualization to observe energetic cords that maintain our attachment to people, thoughts, things, and events. This is an opportunity to observe which cords arise that are no longer serving you, and you are no longer serving them, and to cut them away.

Welcome.

Please take a comfortable seat or lay down flat.

Make sure you're fully supported.

Bring your hands,

If you're sitting,

Onto your lap and turn your palms up.

If you're laying down,

Turn your palms up beside you.

Take a deep inhale.

Deep exhale.

With your exhale,

Sink into your heart space.

Allow a few settling breaths.

Then invite your attachments to arise.

Perhaps an attachment to a thought pattern or a behavior.

Or an attachment to another person that you've been carrying with you.

Witness the dark rope of connection that attaches you to that person or thought or behavior.

Just witness it for a moment.

Come back into your heart.

Source from your heart your ability to cut the cord.

In any way that feels right.

As you cut it,

Watch that cord fall away.

Release it with a sigh.

See that which you were attached to fade away into the distance.

Come back to your heart.

Notice if any other attachments arise.

Any limiting beliefs or patterns.

Maybe more people.

And again,

Just witness the cord that is attaching you to this person or thought limiting belief.

Look at the texture of the cord,

The thickness.

And come to your heart.

Source your strength and your truth.

And cut it away.

Watch as the cord falls to the ground.

Disappears.

And again,

Watch as that which you were attached to fades away into the distance.

Come back to your heart.

Witness the space that's there.

Observe how you feel.

And again,

Invite any attachments to arise that are ready to be released.

Witness the cord attaching you to it.

And source from your heart your strength and your courage.

And your determination.

And cut it away.

Watch the cord fall to the ground.

Witness as it disappears.

And again,

Watch as that which you were attached to fades away into the distance.

And return to your heart.

Notice how you feel.

Come to the source of light within your heart.

Let it start to shine bright until it completely fills your heart space.

Let it overflow into the rest of your body.

Washing through your bones and your tissue.

Washing through all of your muscles and skin.

Let this light be amplified as it runs through your spine up and down.

And then spreads through your central nervous system and all the peripheral nerves to your fingers and your toes.

Invite this light to light you up.

That you may carry it with you throughout the day,

Throughout the week.

That you can amplify its brightness and tone anytime you need a boost by going into your heart.

Let it wrap around your body,

Encasing you completely.

And breathe,

Floating in its light and energy.

Gently slide back into your body.

Feel the support underneath you.

Temperature of your palms.

The solidity of your bones and your tissue.

And breathe here,

Being fully present with all that you are.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing out.
