Play this short SOS track when you need immediate guidance to calm yourself from feeling anxious, unsafe, overwhelmed or panicky. Find any place to sit (even pulling over in the car) or lie down, then work through this rapid and simple exercise that will instantly calm you so you can reclaim your original mind. If you need further calming, you can play this again as many times as you like until you feel safe. If you are unable to physically touch yourself, skip to Minute 1.

Bring your hands to your face and firmly,

But kindly,

Hold your cheeks.

Feel the sensation and kindness of your hands towards your face.

You can even move the hands to your closed eyes and cover them.

If there,

Feel the sensation of your eyeballs against your eyelids,

Against your palms.

Stay wherever comfortable or simply hold yourself tight.

Feel your hands against your clothes or the skin of your body.

Now pay attention to how you're feeling.

Name the feeling that's intensely present and repeat to yourself or out loud,

I am feeling and say the feeling's name.

If you feel sadness,

Say I'm feeling sad.

You may feel angry,

Peeved,

Frustrated or scared.

Keep saying I'm feeling whatever you are feeling until you start getting comfortable with it.

Another deeper,

More subtle feeling may have arisen at this point.

Continue by doing the same for this new feeling,

I'm feeling and do this process until you are at ease with whichever sensation or feeling may come.
