Hello everyone and welcome to this beautiful morning Find somewhere comfortable to be seated.
And when you find that comfort,
Just allow your spine to lengthen naturally.
Also let your shoulders,
Your jaw.
Your hands soften.
Feel free to close your eyes or maybe lower your gaze.
A slow breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Once again a slow breath in through your nose.
And gently breathe out.
That's great.
In this moment,
I'd like you to.
.
.
To just be aware.
Of the world around you.
Try and connect with it.
Without rushing.
Notice the air entering your lungs.
Remind yourself that every breath is a part of a vast exchange between you and the living world.
The oxygen that you receive is shaped by forests and ocean plants and countless forms of life.
And as you breathe out the carbon dioxide.
Continues an ancient conversation between human beings and Earth.
Now take a moment to just feel the ground beneath you.
Notice your feet planted into the ground firmly.
Just imagine the layers of earth below you.
The rich soils,
The ancient rocks.
And just feel that deep moving history of the planet.
Ground is supporting you without asking for anything in return.
So take a moment to feel that gratitude.
Feel that steady support.
Notice the safety that it brings you.
Now take a moment to just notice the morning light.
Maybe there's some sunlight touching your face.
Perhaps you're near a window and you can see the sun beaming through some clouds.
Just remind yourself that the sun has travelled across space.
Its warming oceans.
Waking up plants and guiding life.
Giving energy to every living system.
Let yourself receive this light.
Think of it as a gift.
Gift from the universe.
Now let yourself think of water.
There's water in your body.
Most of your body is made up of it.
There may be someone a cup beside you or.
.
.
Maybe in the clouds overhead?
And you can think about it too in the rivers and lakes and oceans.
How the water you drink has travelled through an endless cycle of rain.
Through streams,
Clouds.
Into living bodies.
With your imagination,
Just offer some thanks for this element that connects the planet.
Now I'd like you to place one hand over your heart.
And silently repeat in your mind.
Thank you,
Earth,
For giving me a place to belong.
Thank you for the air that sustains me.
Thank you for water,
Sunlight and soil.
Thank you for the food that nourishes my body.
Thank you for life.
Now you can try and let your gratitude to become more than a feeling.
You could ask yourself gently,
What small act of care can I offer today?
Maybe you could waste a little less or help someone or just walk with awareness and appreciation.
Just think what that may be.
And finally take one deep breath in through your nose.
And release through your mouth.
And as you breathe out,
Remember that you're not separate from Earth.
You're made of these elements.
Your breath is a part of these cycles and your life is woven into it.
And when you're ready just open your eyes and you can carry this gratitude with you.
And remind yourself of this perspective today.
As you navigate through your day.
Have a wonderful day.
