Just like a sound and mantra, a visualized object can help us to focus on meditation. What you focus on and project energy into can be called 'setting your intention'. One can manifest her/his unique magic, goal, intention, desire, only if one can visualize it first. In his/her thought form. This guided visualization will help you to practice the focus on your intention with precision, clarity of mind, and confidence. Be consistent. One or two minutes of visualization a day is better than many minutes in one day followed by many days without it.

Please do a breathing guided meditation before this visualization.

Your mind must be calm and your body must be relaxed.

If you don't so,

Let's begin.

When you feel relaxed and your mind is quiet,

Imagine a circle.

See it clearly in your mind's eye.

Next,

Visualize the shape of a triangle,

Then a square in your mind's eye.

See them floating in space before you.

If your mind wanders,

Simply bring it back to the shape you were visualizing.

Look at the comfortable pace,

Practicing each step over as many sessions as you may need.

When you're able to hold an image without distraction,

Spin it in space.

Turn the two-dimensional circle into a sphere,

The triangle into a pyramid,

The square into a cube.

Next,

Visualize the sphere in different colors,

Moving through the spectrum from red to orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

Indigo,

Purple,

And then red again.

Practice with the pyramid and the cube.

Visualize the pyramid in different colors,

Moving through the spectrum from red to orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

Indigo,

Purple,

And then red again.

Practice with the cube.

Visualize the cube in different colors,

Moving through the spectrum from red to orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Blue,

Indigo,

Purple,

And then red again.

Now,

Visualize a variety of organic forms,

Such as an apple,

A tree,

Or your animal companion.

It's helpful to look at them first.

Then close your eyes,

Breathe,

And visualize.

If you have difficulties to visualize,

This next section is for you.

Just as you looked at the apple or other organic form before closing your eyes,

To visualize it,

Start with a physical experience and then recreate it with your imagination.

Light a white candle and look at it for several seconds.

Now close your eyes and see the white candle and the flames dancing,

The brightness of the light,

The color and shape and movement.

Repeat this practice until you can see the candle flame clearly and hold the image in your mind's eye.

Work on imagining heat by placing your hands near the candle so that you can feel its warmth against your skin,

Being careful not to burn yourself.

Move your hands away and close your eyes and imagine the feeling of heat in your skin.

The next time you practice your visualization skills,

Don't light the candle,

Just visualize it and experience the feeling of warmth.

Retrieve your memories as clearly as you can and concentrate on them.

Work with other sensations.

Imagine the way an orange feels,

Tastes and smells.

Peel the orange,

Inhale its fragrance and taste the fruit.

Then close your eyes and remember,

Imagine the sensations and on another day imagine seeing,

Peeling,

Smelling and tasting an orange without holding the real orange first.

Do you have trouble visualizing? This practice is for you! It is a very clear exercise on learning how to visualize if you’re not used to it—and it’s a hard skill. I’m constantly looking for short visualization meditations here and I liked this a lot because it’s very geared towards the art of visualization itself. It’s hard to find shorter visualizations here. 4 stars for execution as there are other sounds etc. and there is no background music but this is an excellent exercise.

The technique here is excellent, particularly for beginners to visualization. The runtime may be misleading, because you will probably want to pause now and then—this is really more a set of (very clear, helpful) instructions than a traditional guided meditation. Definitely bears multiple listens. Note that there is no clear ending (in case you are expecting one).
