The plants around us have Spirits that are eagerly waiting to help us if we just know how to connect with them. During this meditation, we join Dandelion to help ground us and feel rooted and strong to get on with our day. We hope that you enjoy working with us.

Hi,

Welcome.

My name is Ocean,

And today we're going to do a grounding meditation with the help of Dandelion.

As spring approaches,

Dandelion would like to help us feel rooted and strong for the burst of energy that will come as temperatures get warmer.

I'll invite you to find a nice seated position that feels comfortable.

You might need to sit on the ground against the wall.

You might need to sit in a chair or a couch.

Just make sure that you can keep this position for at least a few minutes.

As you're settling into the position,

I'm just going to light a candle for Dandelion to thank it for working with us today.

Alright,

So now that we're settled into our position,

Let's take some nice,

Deep breaths to start.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

As you breathe out,

Think of letting any tension melt away from your body.

Breathe in.

Tune in to the areas that might still hold tension and cue those areas to release on your exhale.

Breathe out.

Let's do a few more.

Breathe in.

Unclench your jaw and relax your shoulders.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

One more.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Let's bring our focus to our sacral area,

Our tailbone.

Can you connect to it?

Let's take a few moments to get our awareness into our pelvic bowl.

Feel your sitting bones against your chair,

The floor,

Your couch.

Are you sitting evenly on both of them?

Are you able to connect to it?

Let's take another moment.

Now that we're connected to our pelvic bowl,

Let's imagine that our pelvis is growing roots,

Slowly moving down into our legs,

Down into our feet.

Those roots are breaking through the floor beneath you,

Growing deeper and deeper into the ground.

As you connect to the ground,

The earth,

Do you feel its energy saying,

Hello?

Let's sit a moment with this connection.

Feel your roots getting stronger.

Dandelion allows us to reach really deep into the ground.

Let's stretch even deeper,

Far into the earth's core and connect there.

What do we feel?

Can you connect to the large presence meeting our roots?

We'll pause there and send some gratitude to the earth for always being here and available.

Allow yourself to bask in the warmth that the earth sends back.

A nice,

Big embrace that is always ready to be given when we need it.

Now that we have connected our roots deeply into the ground,

Let's change our focus.

Let's grow big and tall.

Dandelion grows upwards with such ease.

Let's borrow that ability and grow tall through our spine,

Tall through the crown of our head,

Taller and taller,

Reaching for the sun in the sky.

As you get near the sky,

Can you feel the warmth of the sun meeting us?

Let it infuse into your face.

Feel dandelion's joy as it gets taller.

Feel your joy as you get taller.

Now that we've grown as tall as we can,

Let's span out.

Let yourself feel your whole being from your roots deep into the earth to the ground of your head seeking the sun.

Feel it all.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Dandelion is here to remind us that spring is here.

Time to awaken and stretch.

It's one of the first flowers available to bees.

What can dandelion do for you?

It can bring a smile on your face as you watch the bees flutter about getting a full meal.

It can remind you that all parts of you are needed and useful.

It can remind you that just like it,

You are resilient.

You can keep going with whatever comes your way.

It can also remind you to get nourishment deep within yourself.

Tune into your whole being again.

Now that we're grounded,

It's time to connect back to our physical self.

As slowly as you need,

Land back into your body.

Wiggle your toes and fingers.

Roll your shoulders a bit.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Get your roots back up towards you,

Leaving the earth's core.

Grow back into yourself.

Once you're fully settled back into your body,

Open your eyes when you're ready.

Thanks for joining Dandelion and I today.

See you next time.
