New beginnings (birthdays, New Year, relationships) are a wonderful time to take stock and formulate intentions, mindsets and mantras to act as roadmaps for your next chapter. Gather your journal as you become quiet and tap into your intuition and wisdom to channel your intention and guide word. Happy new beginning beautiful soul! Photograph by Kari Shea on Unsplash. Hello,

Dearest one.

Welcome to this meditation to guide you through setting intentions for a new year,

Whether a new calendar year,

A birthday,

Or life-changing event.

Perhaps you would like to light a candle to illuminate your space.

Have a journal or piece of paper handy,

Along with pen or pencil,

To write down your thoughts and intentions at the end of the meditation.

Let's settle into a comfortable,

Relaxed position,

Spine straight,

Hands in your lap,

Up turned or down,

Whatever is comfortable.

Feel your feet flat on the ground,

Aware of the weight of your body in your chair or on your cushion.

Let your gaze fall upon an object in your room in your line of sight,

And then soften,

Letting the world become beautifully out of focus.

Feel yourself nestled safe in your space.

Your breath moves easily in,

Then out of your body,

As it has every moment of every day.

Take a deeper breath now and feel your belly rise,

Then fall as you exhale.

Feel your ribs gently expand with your inhale and settle back with your exhale.

Your mind and body are at peace,

Open and receptive to your wisdom.

Now allow your eyelids to softly close.

A chapter is finishing.

It is time to remember and give thanks for how you've grown through the beautiful moments and also for the lessons from the not so easy times.

Dwell in a place of gratitude.

Honor those days.

Now release them as you turn toward the next chapter,

As you embark on this new beginning.

It's a time to set an intention.

Resolutions tend to be firm declarations focused on an outcome.

Intentions act as a guiding North Star to our best selves.

They are kind expressions of our inner yearnings,

A reminder of our potential,

And are focused on the journey.

Intentions are proclamations of what we would like to manifest and embody as we move forward.

Every day,

Big and little choices greet us that are stepping stones leading to different paths.

The intentions we set help us keep sight of the path we choose.

Become aware of your beautiful breath,

Slow and steady.

Bring a hand to your heart and allow it to rest there,

Intuitively tapping into the wisdom and guidance that reside there.

What intentions are dwelling within?

What message would you like to send the universe and out into the world about who you would like to become and what you would like to contribute to the world?

I release all that is not mine to carry.

In gratitude,

I will pay kindness forward.

I honor myself with healthy food and affirming thoughts.

I welcome abundance into each day with a grateful heart.

Perhaps a word resonates with you that you would like to incorporate as a daily mantra or intention.

Curiosity.

Surrender.

Abundance.

Kindness.

Simplicity.

Begin.

Settle into the quiet of this moment to discover what is resting within you and resonating.

You've planted the seeds.

Well done,

Dear one.

Now nurture them,

Give them care,

And tend them well.

Then surrender and trust.

Thank yourself for taking the time to do this practice,

Connecting with your inner wisdom and setting intentions to guide you through the year.

Take a moment to journal or write down what came to you.

Sometimes we can lose sight of a word or intention later in the year.

Consider making a wallpaper with your word or intention on your phone or laptop or setting weekly reminders throughout the year to keep them in the forefront of your mind and your days.

Wishing you a beautiful new beginning and so many blessings.

Namaste.
