Transcript

This is the Wellbeing Garden Meditation.

Make sure that you are in a comfortable and upright position with your shoulders gently back opening your chest and take in a deep breath all the way down to your belly.

Make sure that your feet are flat on the floor and your hands are in a loose and comfortable position in your lap.

Relax your neck and shoulders.

Relax your pharyngeal temples.

Soften your cheeks and jaw and loosen your tongue.

Now imagine that you are standing in front of large double gates.

Take a while to examine these gates and notice what they look like.

Are they wooden or metal?

What color and texture are they?

Now these gates easily swing open inviting you to cross the threshold which leads you into a large garden.

You are now walking along a pathway and as you're walking have a look around.

What do you see?

Are they trees or shrubs or flowers?

What plants can you see?

As you are walking along notice how the pathway feels under your feet.

Is it smooth or rough?

Can you hear your footsteps?

Can you hear any sounds in the garden?

Are there any scents that you can smell?

What does the air feel like on your face?

Can you feel a gentle breeze or is it still?

What is the temperature like?

Is it warm or cool?

Now look up at the sky.

What does the sky look like?

Is it clear or cloudy?

And now draw your attention back to the path and as you're moving along the path you notice a gate in the distance and now you are moving closer and closer towards that gate.

As you approach the gate notice what it looks like,

Its shape and color.

As you move closer and closer the gate easily swings open and you step over the threshold into your own secret garden.

A special place,

A sanctuary just for you.

You don't need to be anywhere else right now or to be doing anything else right now.

All you need to do is to simply enjoy your garden.

Look around.

What plants do you see?

What colors do you see?

Can you see any wildlife?

Birds,

Animals,

Butterflies?

Is there anyone else in your garden or are you alone?

As you walk around do you see a water feature or is your garden full of plants and trees alone?

All of your senses are alive in this special place.

You might want to make some changes in your garden and you can do this in any way you like.

You might decide to do some gardening or just simply enjoy it as it is.

If you feel like it take a seat or sit on the fresh grass or lean against a tree trunk.

Just easily taking it all in and remember you can create whatever you want in this your special place.

I'm going to leave you for a while to simply rest and relax and just be and I'll come back in a while.

You you now it's time to say goodbye to your special sanctuary this is your place and yours alone and imagine yourself moving towards the gate which gently swings open you step over the threshold and back into the larger garden walking now along the path which leads to the large double gates at the end of the park you are now standing in front of the double gates which gently swing open you step over the threshold and come back into the room now feel the weight of your body on the seat wriggle your fingers and toes taking a deep breath and facing down slowly open your eyes and perhaps take a stretch this is the end of your sacred garden meditation

This has quickly become one of my favorite meditations. Her voice is so incredibly soothing & I could actually feel my vibration heightening as I relaxed in the garden. Definitely going to be doing this one a lot!
