We are kind and loving to many in our lives, yet we are so hard on ourselves. Today, we are going to breathe and talk about ways to love ourselves. As well as practice daily gratitude. We will start with some deep breaths and go from there into positive self talk.

Hi,

My name is Pam Sherman,

And today we are gonna talk about self-love.

Let's start this meditation off with three slow,

Deep breaths.

Put one hand on your heart,

One hand on your belly,

And take a great big,

Deep breath into your heart.

And exhale.

Let's do that two more times.

Great big,

Deep breath in.

And out.

And out.

One more time.

Great big,

Deep breath in.

And out.

Many of us have no trouble being kind and loving to the people and pets in our lives,

But have a very hard time putting that love back on ourselves.

Today,

I wanna talk about starting your day with love and gratitude for you,

For your amazing self,

For your awesomeness that comes out every single day.

I'm gonna take a moment right now and picture what your best friend would say to you.

What would she say or he say the top three things about you are?

Now,

I want you to turn that around and think that about yourself.

You are beautiful,

You are kind,

You are loving,

You are awesome,

You are fun,

You are fabulous,

Because it's all true.

Please take the time today and every day to start with gratitude for yourself and love for yourself.

Think of self-love as self-care.

It's not selfish,

It's what you need every day to make the best day possible.

Kind of like the oxygen mask,

When you're flying,

You put that on yourself first before you put it on anybody else.

Start your day with self-love before you get out of bed.

What are three things you're thankful for?

Could be your comfy bed or your pillow,

Or you could say,

I'm so thankful for me.

I'm guessing you've lived through a lot of beautiful things in your life,

As well as some tragedy,

And yet you're still here.

You smile at people,

You give love to your pets and to your family and to your friends.

You be the best you can be every single day.

How about showing up for yourself in that same way?

Being the best you can for you first.

When you do that,

When you take special,

Loving care of yourself,

The rest of the day is gonna go that much better.

Let's finish this special day by doing the exact same thing we did in the beginning.

Let's have one hand on your heart,

One hand on your belly.

Take a great big deep breath in,

And breathe out to your belly.

Let's do two more just like that.

Great big deep breath in,

And out.

Last one right here.

Deep breath in,

And out.

Have a beautiful rest of your day.
