Good on you for taking the time today and showing up for yourself.
You know the drill.
Go get comfy.
The theme around today's practice is all about getting grounded.
Sometimes we get grounded in our body,
But today we're going to get grounded in our mind and grounded in a specific goal that we may have,
An action we want to take.
So hopefully by now through my words,
You have found that comfort.
You found a bit of length in your spine and pride in your chest.
You're allowing yourself to sit with dignity as you take this time.
Let's take a nice big deep breath in.
Let it go.
And as you make any last-minute adjustments or wiggles,
You start to feel the natural breath.
As you settle in,
I want you to visualize something for me.
The single most important thing in your life today.
Maybe it's that thing that is slipping from your mind.
That thing you're having trouble focusing on.
Focus on that.
It can be desire,
A hope,
A goal.
It can be something tangible or something very distant and very difficult.
It can be anything.
As long as it truly matters to you.
And once you've identified it,
I want you to begin to build a special space for it.
And if a lot of things got thrown at you or you've had a lot of ideas,
Try to go with the first thing that came to mind.
Or the one that keeps saying,
Pick me,
Pick me.
Try not to overthink the exercise.
As we build a special space for whatever it is,
A wall or a board,
Someplace that you can pin this thing as you visualize.
Decide if you want to embellish it in any way.
Perhaps you add a frame around it or you use a giant highlighter.
Draw a bright red line beneath it.
Once you are finished creating,
Place this wall in your mind so that it is standing right before you.
Staying with this visual visualization,
I want you to open up your eyes and look at your goal.
See it clearly and gently.
Make yourself aware of what you need to do in order to achieve it.
Now take a step closer.
Breathe.
Look at your wall.
Allow the image to fade from your eyes,
But never quite disappear.
Come back and look at this wall ever so often to remind yourself where you are going.
Breath in.
Breath out.
