Welcome to Peacebeam.
Let's begin.
Eyes open or eyes closed,
Whichever is appropriate for you,
Wherever you are.
Step one,
Notice.
Shift your focus from up in your head down into your heart or emotional center,
The center of your chest.
Bring that image to mind and stay with it.
Bring your attention to that place.
If you want to,
You can place your hand there or just imagine it.
And now check in.
How do you feel?
Try and pinpoint the emotion.
No judgment.
Just notice.
Observe.
Step two,
Breathe.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice it flowing in and out.
Continue breathing normally,
But now a little deeper.
Extend your inhale and your exhale just a little.
So that you're breathing more deeply,
But at your own pace.
This should be comfortable and easy.
Peace beaming is about ease.
Now imagine that your breath is going in and out through your heart,
Through the center of your chest and stay with that image.
In and out.
And now you should feel an ease start to arrive as your physiology moves into neutral.
Step three,
Activate.
Today we're going to use your smile as the activation.
Whenever we smile,
We activate a flood of feel good chemicals in our brain.
Dopamine,
Endorphins,
Serotonin relax our minds and our bodies and it lowers our heart rate.
It is also contagious.
We are wired to smile back at a smiling face.
And so we unconsciously create a symbiotic relationship that allows two smilers to release feel good chemicals.
And so it goes on.
So now as you're listening,
Smile and really make it a huge smile.
And don't be self conscious.
This is good for you and good for everybody around you.
Step four,
Peace beam.
Now we take that positive feeling,
That beautiful smile,
Calm and ease that you have accessed and intend for it to be for everybody's benefit today.
For you,
The people around you,
The people you interact with.
To peace beam is to wish unconditionally and from the deepest part of your being unrestricted good for yourself and others.
Today to anchor the practice,
Let everybody you meet be touched by the warmth of your smile.
Have a beautiful day.
We'll be back with you tomorrow.
