You know,
I've been thinking about women and our cosmetic procedures that so many of us are doing.
And,
You know,
When you go into a drugstore now,
There are aisles and aisles of makeup.
And even though there are chemicals in this makeup that we know are carcinogenic,
We still plaster our faces with this.
So,
I'm just wondering about just bringing some intelligence to what we're doing.
Like,
Just look at maybe why we're so interested in how we look.
And is it that we're,
Do we think it's going to keep us safe?
Because it won't.
You know,
Getting cosmetic procedures,
I mean,
Maybe if you're in Hollywood,
It really matters.
But,
You know,
Looking 10 years younger,
How does this help us?
I mean,
Everybody who knows us closely and loves us,
They just love our face.
They just would love our wrinkles.
If you're walking,
You know,
Along an ocean path and you pass people and they think that you're 10 years younger,
How does this help you?
I don't know.
I've never been able to really see the logic of it.
You know,
I love the people I love.
I love their faces.
I love the character of their faces.
Yeah,
How much their heart shows through,
The kind of twinkles in their eye.
Yeah,
And sometimes,
You know,
If I'm just walking along,
It's like I can spot a cosmetic procedure and it just makes,
Adds a mask-like quality.
I mean,
You know,
If you think of,
You know,
When you're dead,
Like when you die,
All your wrinkles kind of smooth out,
You know,
The face softens,
The muscles relax,
All the wrinkles kind of fall away.
Do we want to look like dead people?
I don't know.
The whole thing just seems so weird to me.
And the thing is,
It's people who are happy with themselves who are attractive.
You know,
If you've got,
Like if you're sad,
Doesn't matter what you look like,
Your whole being just carries that energy of depression and feeling down,
You know.
Yeah,
You know,
Happiness is an achievement in this world,
I know,
And it's profoundly attractive to people.
So,
Just,
You know,
It's another video,
Another plug for just loving yourself,
Accepting yourself,
And realizing nobody cares.
They're all thinking about themselves,
You know,
And it might,
We might get a kind of false sense of power if we can,
You know,
Pay some money and have some procedure,
But it will always go back.
We're always going to age more,
And some of the procedures make people look kind of freaky.
Yeah.
Anyway,
Just,
You know,
You're just beautiful the way you are,
You know.
Yeah.
Please.
Remember that.
Feel that.
Please.
Okay.
Bless your heart.
