I was giving a satsang recently and in it I suggested that maybe you draw a kind of three foot by three foot or one meter square place in your house where you make this area,
An area you can go to just feel your feelings,
To just come down to the ground and feel the feelings that maybe you've been running from and to hear the thoughts that maybe you've been running from and to just give you space,
Give yourself space and a place where you can listen,
To listen to what's going on deep within you with what the Creator in you wants to communicate or your heart wants to communicate to you,
Yeah,
And that you have time to just listen,
To just be there and that every time you go there,
You know,
You don't have to make some breakthrough or have some big insight but that your intention is to go there,
To listen and to be open to the truth of you and to be with whatever is happening even if you get bored with the process,
It's okay,
Just be there for some time,
Be aware of your thoughts,
What's going on with you,
You know,
That could be a meditation practice of itself and,
You know,
Really this is the point of why people use altars but sometimes when we get spiritually oriented,
We actually get,
We can get the shadow side of spirituality which is kind of religiosity and we get,
We get too concerned with what's bad or good and what thoughts are good,
What thoughts are bad and,
You know,
Too much of that keeps us shallow,
It's better to just learn how to put your arms around yourself as you are,
To give yourself room for your humanity because human beings are not perfect,
Our souls may be perfect but we're never meant to be perfect,
We're meant to love and accept our humanity and love and accept the humanity of others and what does this within us is our soul energy or the creator within us is what comes through us as we love others,
Especially if we love them in a more expansive way,
Way of understanding,
Less conditional,
You know,
Because if we're too conditional with people that's not really love,
It's sort of like,
You know,
I love you as long as you're rich and handsome or something,
You know,
That's not love or I love you as long as you're beautiful,
That's not love but,
You know,
And if we're treating other people like that,
We'll be doing that really with ourselves so start with yourself,
You know,
A three foot by three foot square in your house,
You know,
And put a chair there,
Yeah,
Just go sit,
Just be with yourself with honor and respect.
It takes a lot of courage to come and be a human being in this world,
Especially now,
So just for being here you've got a medal of honor,
You know,
Just for attending,
Okay,
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
