What if,

After a busy day,

When your mind has just been racing,

You could find stillness and deep relaxation?

When I help people to relax,

One of the most popular techniques is a guided visualization journey.

In this guided meditation,

I'll transport you out into the wonders of the universe,

An immersive journey amongst the stars,

To bring you a peaceful perspective on life and a sense of deep relaxation.

So make sure you're in a safe,

Quiet place,

Not driving or using machinery,

So you can relax.

This isn't medical advice or therapy,

This is about empowering your sense of well-being.

So,

Make yourself comfortable,

Close your eyes,

And take a moment to connect with your body,

Allow it to relax,

Let your muscles soften,

And bring your attention to your breath.

Feel the air gently entering your nose,

Filling your chest,

And then notice how your body softens as you exhale,

Gently releasing in and out,

A soothing rhythm.

You might even visualize it in your mind,

Travelling deep into your belly,

Before flowing back out into the surrounding air.

Feel the gentle rhythm in and out,

Relaxing deeper on each out-breath,

Sliding further into a peaceful state,

Mind settling,

Resting,

Drifting into tranquility,

Going deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Now imagine just in front of you,

A glowing blue light appears,

It grows wider and wider into a slow swirling portal,

Inviting you to enter,

Approach it,

And go through,

You feel a gentle flow forward,

Like drifting down a stream in a boat,

You feel lighter and lighter,

Until you're floating along a wide blue wormhole,

Shimmering with light.

As you move,

You notice you're actually not floating now,

But flying,

You have control over where you can move,

And as the end of the wormhole approaches,

You move through it and find yourself in space,

Breathing fine,

Completely safe and in control,

Protected by a mystical energy,

Free,

Floating and gazing at a beautiful nebula,

An enormous cloud of interstellar gas,

You're surrounded by countless stars,

The nebula is lit up by starlight,

Reflecting off its gases,

A giant cloud of green and blue,

You can also make out some pink and purple.

The nebula is a stellar nursery,

The birthplace of stars,

You see a distant star within,

Change from red to white within the cloud,

You've witnessed a protostar entering the main sequence,

Where nuclear fusion has just started,

You can see the accretion disk of gas and dust,

Being gently blown outwards,

This nebula is a place of activity,

Of wonder,

And you fly now into the nebula,

Curious to see what worlds await within,

You fly past such variety of stars,

Vastly different in size and colour,

Some smaller stars,

Warmer in colour,

Red,

Orange,

Yellow and then some huge stars,

White and blue,

You stop next to one of these blue giants,

Mesmerised by the changing patterns on its surface,

Darker blue areas of slowly changing sunspots,

And plasma dancing upwards from the surface,

Wrapping back down,

Curling,

Responding to the magnetic field changes of the star,

Constantly in flux,

Watch the swirling curving patterns they make,

Each one unique,

So peaceful,

As you look around this star system,

You see a white star nearby,

Nearer than all the others,

You realise this blue giant is in a binary system,

These two stars formed together and are caught in a gravitational embrace,

You fly out now past this other star and deeper into the nebula,

A more distant white star now has caught your eye,

There is a feeling of intrigue about this one,

As you approach this star,

Smaller than the ones in the binary system,

You notice it has a system of planets,

There are a few small rocky terrestrial planets,

Very close to the star,

But it is another planet that has you curious,

A blue green gas giant,

Which has formed closer than normal to the star,

Right within the Goldilocks zone where liquid water can form,

You fly closer,

Closer,

Excited,

You can see the planets gases swirling on the surface,

Constantly and calmly moving around the globe,

And a storm like the one on Jupiter,

Rotates and glides amongst the turquoise weather patterns,

Then you see something,

Orbiting the planet,

It has a moon,

You fly closer to it,

It's a large moon,

And it looks green,

You float above it for a moment,

Admiring what you are seeing,

This moon has life,

Continents and oceans,

The land is covered mainly with forest,

Peaceful white clouds drift above them,

Fly down to the surface to explore,

You land on soft grassland,

Near where some shallow rivers intersect,

Trickling peacefully by,

Giant trees stretch up across the rivers,

Much larger than on earth,

Opening out from straight trunks into a wide canopy,

Like an umbrella,

The light here is actually fading as it approaches its own night time,

Yet the blue-green orb of the nearby planet still provides some light,

Dominating the night sky,

As the dusk fades into night,

You notice the plants around you begin to glow,

With bioluminescence,

Yellows,

Oranges,

Blues,

Countless night lights emerge from nature,

And you can just lie back,

Let the spongy grass support you,

It feels like a bed in itself,

So soft,

You look up at the night sky,

Looking at the blue-green planet,

With its swirling surface patterns,

And stars peppering the rest of the night sky,

Like tiny white crystals,

There is the glow of the plant life around you,

And you can hear the trickling of the rivers,

Water slowly flowing over smooth rocks on the riverbed,

Feel the peace of this moment,

Relaxed,

And contemplate the beauty across the universe,

The perspective this gives,

Maybe this perspective helps you to think of a new mindset,

Or goal for your own life,

You can spend some time here now,

Reflecting,

Resting,

Whatever you wish,

Always protected by the mystical energy that helped you to come here,

Take some time now,

For you,

Reflect,

Relax,

Well done,

Travel back now from this place,

In whatever way is appropriate for you,

Back the way you came,

Back through the wormhole,

And bringing your awareness back to the normal feelings of the body,

Fully back to the present moment,

And open your eyes,

Your awareness taking in your surroundings,

And bringing with you that feeling of peace and relaxation.
