Close your eyes.
Take a gentle breath in and release it softly.
Allow your body to rest here,
Supported by the ground beneath you.
With each inhale,
Imagine peace flowing into your being.
With every exhale,
Let go of all that you no longer need.
Picture before you a narrow path.
It begins faintly like a shimmer of light,
Woven into the fabric of the earth.
This is no ordinary trail.
This is the road to Shambhala.
The path winds forward,
Stretching into mist and mystery.
Shambhala is not found on any maps,
Nor drawn in any history books.
It lives only within the heart and mind.
With each slow breath you take,
You step further along this road.
As you walk,
The world around you begins to change.
The air grows lighter as it's infused with a golden glow.
You hear the rush of distant waterfalls.
The rumbling of rivers tumbling joyfully over stone.
Mountains rise up around you,
Tall and green,
Their peaks kissed with snow and light.
The deeper you travel,
The more the ordinary world fades away.
Color becomes brighter,
Almost luminous.
The leaves of the trees shimmer with emerald fire.
The flowers along the roadside seem to breathe with you,
Their petals opening and closing gently as though they were alive.
Listen closely.
In the wind you hear whispers,
Not of language,
But of wisdom carried from ancient times.
Every sound,
Every fragrance,
Every sight along this road is guiding you toward a hidden realm.
And then,
Before you,
A great waterfall appears.
Its waters thunder down from a sheer cliff,
Crashing into a pool that sparkles like liquid crystal.
Mist rises from its base,
Drifting upward like silver smoke.
And through that mist,
You glimpse something wondrous.
Carved into the mountain itself is a hidden entrance,
A gateway veiled behind the cascading water.
Step closer.
With each breath,
You feel the pull of this sacred place.
The waterfall does not block you.
Instead,
It welcomes you,
Parting into a veil of light as you pass through.
On the other side,
You find yourself in a vast hidden valley.
This is Shambhala.
The valley glows with a light that seems to come from everywhere at once.
Giant mountains surround it,
Their sides carved with ancient temples and sculptures.
Colossal pyramids rise above the treetops,
Their stones engraved with symbols older than memory.
Golden statues keep silent watch,
Their faces calm and serene.
Gardens bloom in colors never seen by waking eyes.
Streams of pure water flow through the city like veins of light.
Take a moment here.
Look around you.
This is a land untouched by greed,
Free of shadow,
A place where compassion and peace are the very air you breathe.
The inhabitants of Shambhala are not strangers.
They are reflections of the highest truth within yourself.
They do not rush,
They do not cling,
For they are beyond desire,
Beyond fear.
They are the embodiment of kindness,
Generosity,
And grace.
As you stand among them,
You feel your own heart soften,
Open,
And expand.
Walk slowly through this city of light.
Notice the sound of waterfalls cascading between temples.
Notice how the air hums with quiet joy.
Notice how the ground beneath your feet feels alive,
As though every stone,
Every root,
Every drop of water is aware of your presence and welcomes you.
Here in Shambhala,
You are reminded of a deep truth.
This place does not exist outside of you.
It is not hidden in distant mountains,
Nor buried in secret maps.
It has always lived within your heart and mind.
Whenever you long for peace,
Whenever you need clarity or rest,
You may return here.
The road is always waiting.
It appears each time you slow down,
Each time you breathe deeply,
Each time you open yourself to stillness.
Shambhala is not a dream.
It is your inner sanctuary,
Your eternal refuge.
And the more you walk its pathways in meditation,
The more its beauty will shine through your daily life.
Take a long,
Gentle breath in and out.
Know that Shambhala will always be here,
Ready to welcome you back whenever you choose to return.
Now,
Slowly allow your awareness to come back to this present moment.
Feel the air in the room around you.
Feel the support beneath your body.
Bring with you the calm,
The clarity,
And the light of Shambhala.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
