This is Resting into Sleep with the Heart Breath.
I'm Robert Chang Chopp.
As you lay down to sleep,
Bring your attention to your heart center,
And as you breathe,
Imagine you're breathing in through the heart center.
Just for a few seconds,
A few minutes,
Breathe in through the heart,
Breathe out through the heart.
And now,
Bring your attention to the body,
To your body,
Your physical body,
As you're laying in bed.
Notice any places of pain,
Places of tightness or holding,
And breathe into those places through the heart.
Touch them lightly with your breath,
And as you breathe out,
Release that tension,
Release the pain.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Bring your attention to any emotional baggage hanging around from the day.
Take a heart breath,
Breathing in through the heart,
And touch that emotional upset.
Breathe it out into the greater space around you.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Releasing,
Letting go of any emotional baggage.
Touching it with your heart breath,
Saying,
I see you,
And I let you go.
Now,
Bring your attention,
Your awareness to any mental voices in your mind,
Hanging around from the day,
Conversations,
Things you should have said or wish you said,
Things others have said to you.
Breathe in through the heart,
Touch that noise,
And breathe it out,
Releasing it into the space around you.
Breathe in and touch it,
Saying,
I see you,
I'm aware of you,
And now I breathe you out and release.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Continue to breathe in through the heart center,
Keeping your attention on the heart as you slowly drift off to sleep.
