Good morning.
You can do this guided meditation with eyes open or closed,
However you feel most at ease.
You can become perfectly still or move your body around during this meditation.
Let's see if we can drop right into noticing sounds.
Sounds that are nearby.
Sounds off in the distance.
The sound of the body breathing.
Listening not with an agenda,
But more as an effortless open awareness.
How we listen and pay attention can be a great gift to others.
It's also a gift to listen inside,
To the parts of us that need us to listen.
These parts share with us every day.
Today,
We will experience them as thoughts,
Stories,
Images,
Emotions,
Body sensations,
And impulses.
These will come into our awareness today,
And they are parts of us trying to tell us something.
If we're curious,
We can safely allow our heart to open to them and see what they might share with us.
May today's light find and surround us.
Whatever gifts and blessings we've received,
May we share them today with others,
As well as ourselves.
May we feel the healing in our bodies and minds that we received from last night's rest.
Who we are today is new.
Today has never happened,
So whatever may come,
May we open to it and allow it to teach us what it is that we need to learn.
May we connect with the inner refuge that we carry within us.
We have always had it.
It is our birthright.
All is well.
Everything is working out for our highest good.
Out of each experience,
Only good will come to us.
We are safe.
We are protected.
We are loved.
Whenever it feels right,
A few deep breaths can help shift awareness back outside in a gentle and easy way.
