I would like to invite you to find a comfortable position.
Maybe you would like to take this time to lie down or find a comfortable seated position.
Once you have found a relaxed position,
Gently close your eyes.
Or you may allow your gaze to soften downward.
And take some time to connect with your breath.
Begin deeply inhaling through your nose for four counts,
Pausing at the top,
And slowly exhaling for four counts.
Continue this breathing pattern and feel how your body moves with each inhale and each exhale.
Notice your chest rise with your inhale and your shoulders sink down with your exhale.
Start to imagine that with each inhale,
Your body becomes so light that you may float away.
And on your next exhale,
Your body melts into the earth below you.
Continue connecting these sensations with your breath for a moment.
Now,
Imagine you are in a bed of soft grass.
The sun is beaming down,
Slightly warming your body.
There's a flower in front of you and it's ready to bloom.
The flower begins as a small bud and with each inhale,
The petals slightly expand.
You're breathing life into this flower.
You're creating space for it to bloom,
For it to grow.
Begin to envision this growing flower as your heart.
Feel your heart bloom ever so slightly more with each breath in.
And feel the life radiate through your body with your breath out.
Allow your chest to blossom and your breath to build an energy inside of you.
Welcome the warmth that is building inside of your heart and send it through your limbs.
Feel as it pours out of your fingers and out of your toes.
Return back to this soft bed of grass with the sun warming your body.
Feel the lightness throughout your body and allow yourself to release with your breath.
When you are ready to come back,
Gently begin to notice the texture underneath your hands and your feet.
Slowly open your eyes and welcome life around you.
