Good morning,
My name is Sam.
It's time to wake up and start the adventure of this new day.
The beauty of a morning meditation is that it sets the stage for the rest of the day,
Granting us the opportunity to harness the energy we wish to experience as we move into the world.
Set yourself into a comfortable position and feel free to close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to the breath.
Inhale through your nose if you can,
Deep down into the belly and then fill your chest.
Hold for a moment and then release,
Starting with the chest and then emptying the belly.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale again through your nostrils,
Deep down into the belly,
Then the chest and then pause.
And you can breathe out through your mouth starting with the chest followed by the belly and then pause at the end of the exhale.
Listen to the silence.
And one more time,
Breathing in and in,
Pausing and letting it all go.
Relax the top of your head and feel that sensation dripping down into your forehead,
Eyes,
Ears and cheeks.
Allow your jaw to go slack,
Your tongue heavy.
Bring attention to the throat,
Allow the muscles surrounding it to relax.
Soften the back of the neck and then move your attention to the shoulders and do the same.
Feel this wave of relaxation moving down now into the arms,
The hands and the fingers.
Bring your attention to the torso and soften the muscles across your chest and upper back.
Relax the belly and soften around the lower back.
Release your hips,
Your thighs,
The muscles around the knee,
The shin,
The calf,
Ankles,
Feet and toes.
Allow your attention to envelop your whole body,
Noticing any sensations you may be feeling.
And you can bring a gentle attention to any area that you'd like to relax a little more.
As the morning sun rises,
Feel its warm rays of light beaming down on you with beautiful golden energy.
Absorb these ribbons of light into your body and feel your body surrounded in bright healing energy.
Feel the sun's power radiating and recharging you,
Giving you new life for this new day.
Today is a new day.
Yesterday is in the past and we welcome all of the new opportunities that this day brings.
There's so much potential and so much possibility.
Allow yourself to feel excited by the anticipation of what blessings the day may bring.
Let's set an intention so that our mind and path is clear.
Think of one thing that you'd like to experience,
Feel or do today.
And it can be as simple as taking a refreshing walk outside in nature,
Enjoying some deep breaths of fresh air,
Or you might have a particular project that you're really looking forward to working on.
Take a few moments now to visualize in your mind's eye what it is that you would like to experience and see Wonderful.
There's so much to look forward to.
Today is going to be a great day.
Today is a clean slate to start anew.
The possibilities are endless in what you can achieve.
And remember,
You can be,
Do or have anything that you wish for.
Just see it,
Believe it and receive it.
Today is a beautiful day.
Have your breath,
Your calm breathing.
And if thoughts arise trying to take you somewhere else,
Just gently come back to the breath.
And with each breath,
Feel the morning energy gently waking your entire body and notice any sensations you might feel.
Breathe in,
Sending oxygen to your head and face and exhale.
Breathe in and send life giving air to your neck,
Your shoulders and your chest muscles,
Absorbing in the oxygen and getting ready for the day.
Inhale and send this breath to your entire back,
Allowing those muscles to awaken.
Breathe in again and send the oxygen to your abdomen and thighs.
Send the energy from your next breath into the legs to power you through the day.
Inhale and allow the sun's rays to infuse you with the energy you need to begin your day.
And now allow the energy from the air you breathe and the warm rays of sunshine to begin to power you up for the whole day.
Breathe into your heart.
Send golden energy to your heart center in gratitude for the beginning of this new day.
Today is a fantastic day.
Let's slowly start to move into the day now.
Take a full energizing breath in and allow the fingers and toes to wiggle if you wish.
Follow your body's desire to move as it guides you.
And whenever you're ready you can open your eyes with a soft downward gaze,
Keeping your focus inward.
And when ready open your eyes fully and go out and claim your day.
