Transcript

Settle into a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down,

Where your spine and neck are straight.

Softly close your eyes and take a deep breath into your belly.

Open your mouth and exhale.

On your next inhale,

Fill your belly with air just like a balloon and let out a sigh on your exhale.

Take one more deep breath,

Allowing the belly to expand.

Open your mouth and release some sound.

And now start to notice your face and see where you can release any tension.

Open the forehead,

Eyebrows,

And temples.

Relax the space behind your eyes,

Just like two still pools of water.

Release any tightness in the jaw by opening the mouth slightly and then letting the lips softly come back together.

Let the tongue be heavy in the mouth and take a deep breath in,

Opening through the chest,

And exhale,

Let it go.

Relax your neck and throat and let your shoulders fall away from your ears.

Soften your arms,

Hands,

And each finger.

Notice if there's any clenching in your belly and consciously relax those muscles.

Continue to move your awareness down your body,

Softening any tension in the hips,

Pelvis,

Upper legs,

Lower legs,

Feet,

And toes.

Take a deep breath in and let it go.

Feel your whole body settle in and become still.

Allow your breath to flow in and out according to its natural rhythm without trying to control it.

Simply let it be.

Now,

Begin to notice that somewhere underneath you,

The earth is supporting you,

Holding you safely and securely.

She is always here for you,

Providing a solid foundation for you to grow and explore.

Feel the earth underneath you and imagine that you're growing roots just like the roots of a tree,

From the base of your spine right at your lower back and down into the earth.

Lead your roots through the layers of the planet,

Into the outer core,

And finally to the bright,

Glowing inner core,

The heart of Mother Earth.

Wrap your roots tightly around earth's core,

Anchoring yourself in her loving protection.

Now,

With each natural breath,

Draw the soothing light of earth's nurturing energy up into your roots.

See and feel this brilliant,

Radiant light travel up through the planet and into your body,

Filling each and every cell of your being with nourishing life-force energy and transmuting any worries,

Fears,

Or anxieties into pure love,

Trust,

Balance,

And harmony.

Allow this beautiful,

Bright light to overflow until it creates a bubble of light around you,

Just like a warm cocoon.

Breathe in this healing,

Purifying light and let out a gentle sigh on your exhale.

I invite you to place one or both hands on your heart and repeat the following affirmations,

Either out loud or in your head.

I am safe and supported.

I am at home in my body.

All of my needs are met.

I am connected to the earth.

I embrace change and welcome new beginnings.

The universe opens its arms to protect and love me.

I am centered and grounded.

It is safe to be me.

Start to deepen your breath and slowly awaken your body.

Know that as you come out of this meditation,

You are always supported by Mother Earth,

No matter what you do or where you go.

Take your time and when you feel ready,

Gently blink your eyes open.

Slowly bow your head as a thank you to Mother Earth for her love and support.
