Ready for a good night's sleep? Get snuggled in with your favorite blanket, close your eyes, take a deep breath in, and allow this meditation to guide you into a deep sleep. This meditation will guide your body to deeply relax from head to toe and will encourage your mind to ease out of the day and into a deeply focused sleep state.

Go ahead and get nice and comfortable.

Feeling cozy and settled in.

Letting your body find a position that feels good.

Gently beginning to relax.

That's right.

Go ahead and take a nice deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Feel the sensation of your eyes being closed.

And feel the velvety darkness behind your eyelids.

You may notice as you focus gently on that velvety darkness that your body relaxes even more deeply.

Releasing.

Letting go.

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

Take another nice deep breath in.

And exhale comfortably.

Letting your body to gently melt into the surface holding you.

With each and every exhale,

Your body gently relaxes into that supportive surface.

With each and every exhale,

Your body gently relaxes and gently leans into that supportive surface.

Feel what it's like to gently lean into that sensation of being held.

Gently relaxing deeper and deeper.

That's right.

And now see,

Feel,

Or sense a warm golden light gently forming at the top of your head.

And allow this golden light to gently and slowly begin pouring down in through the top of your head.

Let it bathe your brain in this warm,

Gentle relaxation.

And let this warm golden light relax and gently soften your forehead.

And relaxing your eyebrows and the little space in between them.

Relax your eyelids.

Once again,

Feeling that soft,

Velvety darkness and letting that velvety darkness relax you deeper and deeper.

Use this golden light relaxing the little muscles next to your eyes.

And allowing this warm golden light to pour all the way down through the little muscles in your face.

Softening your cheeks.

Relaxing your nose and your mouth.

Letting this warm golden light relax you all the way down through your jaw.

Letting your jaw be loose and spacious.

Relaxing deeper and deeper.

Letting this warm golden light relax even the back of your head and your ears.

And letting it gently travel down into your neck,

Your shoulders.

Relaxing your chin and relaxing every part of your neck,

Your shoulders,

And your upper chest.

Gently relaxing deeper and deeper.

That's right.

And now allowing this golden light to relax all the muscles in your arms.

Relaxing your arms all the way through to your fingertips.

Letting your hands relax.

Letting them be soft.

Letting this warm golden light to gently and slowly relax your entire torso.

Especially your heart.

Let this warm golden light bathe your heart in this soft,

Gentle,

Compassionate relaxation.

Letting your heart gently relax and soften.

Feeling how good that feels.

Relaxing your chest.

Relaxing your sides.

Relaxing all the muscles in your back.

That's right.

Relaxing the space where your ribs meet.

Relaxing and softening the belly.

Really releasing and letting go.

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

Letting this warm golden light gently and slowly travel down into your hips,

Your glutes,

Your sit bones.

Relaxing your pelvic area.

And gently letting this warm golden light relax all the muscles in your legs.

All the way down and through the tips of your toes.

And down through the soles of your feet.

Letting this warm golden light gently and compassionately encompass and relax your whole entire body.

Relaxing you deeper and deeper.

In a moment I'll begin to count down from 20 to 1,

And with each and every decreasing number you'll hear me say the words,

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

And you'll find that as you gently follow the sound of my voice,

You'll easily and effortlessly relax 5 or 10 or even 15 times deeper.

Notice how you're already looking forward to being that deeply relaxed.

Already looking forward to relaxing deeper and deeper.

Feeling how good that feels.
