
Let's Talk About... When You Don't Fit Your Life Anymore
Welcome to my sitting room. Imagine you’ve just dropped onto the sofa across from me and we’re having one of those honest and delicious conversations about life. In this video we talk about what happens when you don’t fit in your life anymore. Because when you do the inner work and the self-healing, you change. But the people around you, the patterns around you, and the life around you don’t change at the same pace. And that gap in between can feel confusing, lonely and deeply uncomfortable. This chat with me, will help you understand that you not fitting in your old life, is you breaking free. So you can finally create the life you've always wanted.

Hello,
Beautiful human,
Wherever you are around the world.
My name is Saskia Lightstar.
I am a teacher on Insight Timer,
And I don't really like to give myself labels.
Life coach,
Counselor,
Meditation teacher.
Yes,
I could tell you all those things,
But I am so much more than all those things.
Ultimately,
I'm a human like you,
And I did the self-healing and learned a lot of magic along the way.
And so I'm doing these videos so I can share with you all the magic I learned.
So it might help you because I have reached a place in my existence that nobody told me about.
It's so delicious and I am so at peace and I love my existence.
And I'm not spiritually bypassing anything.
I still have struggle and strife like the next person.
It's just I know how to handle it now.
Today in my sitting room.

In my beautiful home in Devon,

And we're just having an intimate,
Lovely,
Real,
Authentic conversation with each other.
And today we're going to talk about when you feel in that no man's land.
Like you don't know yourself.
When you are in between versions of yourself.
Now let me explain what I mean by that.
Journey when you're doing the inner work when you're going to a therapist and you're learning more about yourself or you're meditating and you're connecting deeper to yourself or you're doing affirmations and reprogramming your neurological pathways you're changing you're changing yourself and it's wonderful and it's the work and that's human evolution and I believe that's why we're here but it can also be incredibly uncomfortable because as you change there becomes moments where you don't recognize yourself or your outside life no longer reflects your inside world it's like they become fragmented from each other because your inside world has evolved and your outside world hasn't caught up yet so I have spent so much time in this no man's land and it has been excruciating excruciating in the sense that I knew I'd changed and I was feeling better about myself,
But I was still in this in-between place.
Things weren't starting to happen in the outside world.
And I was questioning myself and questioning self-healing and spirituality.
You know,
In the in-between place,
You're like,
Is this even working?
Why am I doing all these things?
Why have I got a vision board?
Why am I journaling if I still feel like I'm stuck and my life is the same?
It's not.
It's impossible.
If you are doing the work,
And when I say the work,
It is work,
But you could just be doing something as much as a 10-minute meditation every day.
That is enough,
Right?
Think about it like this.
Right now,
You're headed in this direction.
That's the way you're going.
That's your trajectory.
Now,
If you keep doing a 10-minute meditation every day,
Which might not seem like a lot,
It's just going to change your trajectory a tiny bit,
Right?
You to a different destination.
So it all makes a difference.
And sometimes when you're on the journey,
There are points,
Right?
And so there's that bit in the walk,
Let's say you're going on a hike,
And there's that part of the hike that's just flat and the same,
And it just goes on and on forever.
And it's not particularly inspiring,
But it's benefiting you because you're exercising,
You're breathing in nature,
You're being present with yourself.
So even if it's not exciting,
It's purposeful and it's beautiful in its own way.
And that's the exact same thing as that in-between place.
It might feel uncomfortable to you,
But it's so important to your process and your journey and so important to getting to you,
Getting you where you want to go.
Because it's in those in-between places that it's like,
It's almost like a cocoon.
A pulp but you want to go I'm a butterfly now I just want to fly I want to fly and it's like well no you can't do that yet because you're the pulp so just be here in the in-between let yourself form into this beautiful butterfly and when the time is right you'll fly but not a moment before I wanted to share this because I spent so much time in these in-between places making it worse because I just had frustration and I thought I wasn't doing things right and I wasn't doing anything good enough and I'm here to tell you there is no right or wrong on the self-healing journey you are exactly I promise you this you are exactly where you need to be right now on your journey the universe has control you do not you are where you need to be and if that's not where you want to be it's because there is important learning here and you are to stay here to learn the lessons to be more self-aware,
To look at it,
Step out of it and go,
What is this teaching me?
Because when you let that teaching sink into you,
You'll find you walk,
Move through that to the next thing.
So if you're in no man's land,
Just be here,
Trust it and trust that you are changing inside,
Whether you see it outside of you or not and keep doing the work.

Real happiness,
Not temporary happiness.
Happiness that holds me in the pain,
In the moments of sadness,
When I'm confused.
This is the real deal and you're getting to the real deal by allowing yourself the in-between stages as you change versions of yourself.
So trust where you are.
Take a big deep sigh of relief right now with me in fact.

Big inhale.
And then sigh it all out.
Ah.
Let it all go man,
Let it all go.
You're where you're supposed to be right now.
Trust that.
And go out there and have the most beautiful day.
