Not only that,
But we also rejoice in our sufferings,
Knowing that suffering produces endurance,
Endurance produces character,
And character produces hope.
And hope does not put us to shame,
Because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Hello my beloveds,
Today we practice the 23rd meditation in our Lent series.
This meditation is an encouragement and reminder that the difficulties we persevere in ultimately make us stronger.
To prepare our hearts and minds for meditation,
I invite you to close your eyes if it's safe and helpful to do so.
Relax your body in a comfortable position you can remain in for a few minutes.
In other words,
Be still,
Adopt an attitude of gratitude and non-judgment,
And embrace a heart and mindset of peace and loving-kindness.
Not only that,
But we also rejoice in our sufferings,
Knowing that suffering produces perseverance,
Perseverance produces character,
And character produces hope.
And hope does not put us to shame,
Hope brings us glory,
Because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
The difficulties we persevere in ultimately make us stronger.
We even rejoice in our sufferings,
Yes,
We rejoice in our blessings,
And we even rejoice in our sufferings.
Suffering produces endurance,
And endurance produces hope.
And when we have hope,
We will not be put to shame,
Because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
The difficulties we persevere in make us stronger.
Thank you for holding this space with me today my beloveds,
And today may your suffering and your challenges give you hope and make you stronger.
And may grace and peace,
Light and love be with you.
