Long before you gave birth to the earth,

The human turns back to dust.

The human becomes part of the earth from which they came.

Like glistening grass that springs up one day and withers the next.

Bright and green in spring,

And brown and withered in winter.

And yet you are eternal.

So fill us with songs of joy.

Fill us with songs here and now.

Let us be present.

Replace our short years of trouble with decades of gladness.

Let our short time of pain be replaced with eternal joy.

Let us be present in the eternal now.
