Boundaries are limits we place on ourselves and others to protect ourselves from harm. Oftentimes, we tend to overextend ourselves, leading to stressful emotions or exhaustion. Boundaries are physical, emotional, and spiritual. They are needed and necessary to remain grounded and present. Use this guided meditation to feel grounded and protected.

Today,

We honor your right to create and maintain sacred boundaries,

Energetically,

Emotionally,

And spiritually.

Let's begin with your breath.

Take a slow,

Deep inhale through your nose,

Feel your belly rise,

And exhale gently through your mouth,

Letting go of any and all tension.

Breathe deeply again,

This time imagining a sense of protection entering with the breath,

And exhaling all that does not belong to you.

Now,

Bring your attention to your body,

Scan from the top of your head down to your shoulders.

Release any heaviness in your neck,

Your back,

Your heart,

Soften your belly,

Your hips,

Your legs,

All the way down to your feet.

Imagine a soft,

Radiant light surrounding your body.

See it shimmering like a warm,

Golden cocoon,

It's strong,

Yet soft,

Impenetrable,

Yet loving.

This is your energetic boundary,

It welcomes love,

Joy,

And abundance,

And it filters out anything heavy,

Draining,

Or unkind.

Feel this light expand slightly with each inhale,

Becoming brighter and stronger,

And with each exhale,

Imagine it releasing all that is not yours.

Repeat silently after me,

I am allowed to take up space.

I release what is not mine.

My boundaries are an act of love,

Love for myself and others.

I am allowed to take up space.

I release what is no longer mine to carry.

My boundaries are an act of love,

Love for myself and others.

Visualize your light shield becoming steady and calm.

You are grounded,

You are protected.

When you are ready,

Take a deep breath in,

Slowly exhale,

Carrying this feeling of protection with you.
