From Shane Piñata,
I'm Colleen Thomas.
This is Daily Magic for Peace.
Today we will honor the moments of connection between Russia and the West.
Welcome to the circle.
So I don't know what time of day or night it is when you are listening to this podcast,
But if it's nighttime,
I invite you to go out and look up at the sky.
And if it's daytime or you just can't get outside,
I invite you to just relax your body and picture the beautiful night sky.
A really gorgeous star-filled night sky.
And as we begin our time together today in circle,
You might join me in taking a breath.
Often when we work together,
We connect with the chakras.
And today I would like to connect with you at the level of the eighth chakra,
Which is above our head.
But to get there,
Let's go down to go up.
And what I mean by that is notice what you're standing,
Sitting or lying on,
And allow your weight to drop a little more deeply,
A little more effortlessly into this thing that is supporting you,
And feel how this thing is connected down to the center of the earth.
And when you have that sense of stability,
That sense of groundedness,
You can begin pulling that earth energy up,
Up into your chakra system.
Slowly making its way up along your spine,
All the way up,
Your throat and your head and the crown of your head.
And now extend it just a little bit further up,
A couple feet up,
Until you get to that sort of conglomeration of your upper chakras.
So feel into that eighth chakra space,
Two,
Three feet above the crown of your head.
And just see what you notice.
Do you feel warmth?
Do you feel coolness?
Tightness or openness?
Static or clarity?
Do you see anything?
Do you feel anything?
If you're not sure what to do,
You might just clear out anything that's not you.
Fill it with you.
This is your eighth chakra.
This is the very tip of your energy body.
This is where your energy body meets the world heading up through the sky,
Right?
As we have our grounding and our crowning.
This is exactly the point where you're transitioning from the energy body to what's above.
So clear that out,
Clean it out.
And when it feels good to you,
I invite you to just go ahead and trace that line all the way up,
Up into the heavens,
Up to the center of the galaxy.
Whatever's up there for you,
Connect to that wonderful thing that's up there for you.
Whether it's a deity or whether it's just the center of everything,
Go ahead on up there and connect so that you find you are in your divine line as Alai Dao calls it,
From the earth to the universe.
And feel into that balance and feel into that flow.
And now bring yourself to that moment when you're looking up at that gorgeous sky.
The kind of sky that has way more stars than you normally see.
That awe-inspiring sky.
This may seem sort of like a strange setting to think about the moments of connection between Russia and the West.
But one of the things that to me is such a wonderful connection,
Has been such a wonderful connection between Russia and the West,
Has been something that you might see go by if you were looking up at the night sky.
The International Space Station.
I've been fascinated by the International Space Station forever,
It seems,
Although that's not actually possible.
The way that these nations work together in such a foreign environment,
The way that the station was built slowly in space,
The way that there are multiple languages being spoken and multiple cultures represented.
I got a text today on my phone that told me the ISS is going over where I am tonight at 8.
40 p.
M.
,
Visible for four minutes,
Appearing in the southwest,
Disappearing in the northeast.
I'll be out there watching it go by,
Watching that little dot go across the sky,
Knowing that there's real people in there doing real work.
And I've been so saddened to hear that Russia plans to pull out of the program.
And I've been thinking a lot about the astronauts,
Russian and non-Russian,
Who've been working together in the ISS all of this time,
This past year while the war has been going on.
I feel like this particular project,
The International Space Station,
Has been such a great moment when the past Cold War history and anything that might be going on right now has just sort of,
We've been able to step away from it and connect as human beings,
Which is something that I've really,
Really appreciated.
And I'm really,
Really sad to see that the new conflict is creating another barrier for that connection.
Now,
The ISS is just one example of connection between Russia and the West.
And I know it's a very sort of concrete and specific example when there've been so many kinds of connection throughout time.
I'm just here to sit with you in circle and to say that my heart calls me to stand up in every way I can against Russian aggression against Ukraine.
At the same time,
I'm noticing my heart is also really sad that there's more and more of a disconnect happening between Russia and the West.
Because I know there are friendships,
I know there are families that are connected,
And I know that there are wonderful projects like the ISS that are gonna start to fall apart if things keep going in this way.
And I wanna sit with you today and honor those moments of connection in all the ways that they've manifested.
May they continue to the best they can while also supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity.
I know it's kind of two things at once,
But that's what I'm called to send out as magic today.
And that's what I invite you to join me in seeing,
Seeing maintained connection between Russia and the West in ways that promote peace and growth and learning and friendship and seeing each other as human and growing,
Growing,
Growing together.
At the same time,
Seeing Ukraine free and owning its land.
This is my magic,
My prayer for today.
And I invite you to feel it as well,
To let it come into your hands,
From your heart,
And just release it out to the world as our prayer for today.
Thank you for cooperation between Russia and the West.
May it continue in a way that also creates peace in the world.
May it be so.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
Your presence,
Your energy,
And your heart make all the difference in healing our world.
Remember to breathe today.
Breathe and expand.
And I hope you join us again next time.
Please consider inviting a friend.
