Hi,
This is Shannon,
And welcome to this exercise on tapping on money.
This is meant to be a more general meditation around money in general.
It's meant to help you uncover your true belief systems and begin to heal.
I have more specific exercises and meditations on money in regards to savings,
Debt,
Income,
And more specific subjects as well.
But for right now,
We're going to work in a more general way.
First I'd like to explain the tapping points that I'll be using.
There are many different points.
The points that I use will be on the side of the hand in the meaty portion,
What they call the karate chop point.
Then we'll start on the inner eyebrow,
Move to the outer eye on the bone,
Right on the edge of the eye.
Then tapping on the cheekbone will be the next one,
Right underneath the nose,
Between the nose and the mouth,
Underneath the mouth and between the chin and that little cleft,
Right on the collarbone,
Just a soft spot there,
And then the top of the head.
There are many other points,
And if you are familiar with tapping and would like to use additional points,
You can feel free to do so.
This exercise is somewhat fluid.
The first thing I want you to do is close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
I want you to think about your money situation.
The idea here is we want you to feel triggered.
Just thinking about money for some of you,
That will make you feel triggered.
If you need to go a little deeper,
Maybe you need to think about how much money is in your savings account or how much debt you have,
How much income you're currently making,
Perhaps how many hours you're working to make that income,
Whatever it is to trigger some sort of response of feeling uncomfortable or upset.
I want you to ideally write those feelings down right now,
And you can pause this for a moment if you need to,
And write down each emotion and understand that often it is difficult for people to name the emotion,
And that is okay if you find yourself in that place.
You can be general.
I feel scared.
I feel mad.
I feel upset.
I feel uncomfortable,
As an example.
You may be feeling things like,
I feel panicked.
I feel frustrated.
Go ahead and write those down,
And then for each feeling,
I want you to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10,
1 being the least and 10 being the most.
Then we're going to jump in and start tapping.
Ideally say these things out loud if you're in a place where you're able to do so,
And you can simply repeat after me.
You're also welcome to change the words if something doesn't resonate with you.
For example,
If I say,
I feel angry,
And you feel sad,
Then say,
I feel sad.
We're going to start initially with some quote unquote negative language.
We want to give those feelings that are so often unheard of voice,
And then later in this meditation,
We'll switch it into a more positive,
Joyful energy.
Taking a deep breath in,
We're going to start on the side of the hand.
Start tapping gently with two or more fingers.
Even though I don't know what to expect from this exercise,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I'm not sure that this is going to help at all,
I'm open to giving it a try.
Even though this doesn't really make sense to me,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Then we're going to start on the eyebrow point.
The truth is that every time I think about my money,
Inside of the eye,
My nervous system is wired to react with fear and worry and frustration.
You can fill in any words here that feel more resonant to you under the eye,
And I really feel it under the nose,
But I don't want to feel that under the mouth.
It's way too uncomfortable.
Collarbone,
No wonder I don't want to focus on my money.
Top of the head,
My nervous system constantly runs with the feelings of fear and worry and anger.
Eyebrow,
My nervous system feels panic and terror and worry.
Inside of the eye,
Over and over,
Under the eye,
I feel scared.
Under the nose,
I feel upset.
Under the mouth,
I feel sad.
Collarbone.
I feel it in my chest,
Top of the head.
I feel it in my stomach.
Eyebrow in my head and my heart.
Take a deep breath in,
Inside of the eye.
I feel it in my entire body.
Under the eye,
All of these terrible feelings.
Under the nose,
Of anger and sadness and frustration.
Under your mouth,
No matter how hard I try,
It doesn't make a difference.
Collarbone,
I wonder how long I felt this in my money.
Top of the head,
And I start thinking thoughts that feel so true.
Eyebrow,
Things like I have to work so hard for my money.
Inside of the eye,
And money doesn't grow on trees.
Under the eye,
And we're not made of money.
Under the nose,
You've got to work hard for your money.
I don't want you to fill in any thought that goes through your mind if there's something else.
Under the mouth,
And I think these things over and over and over.
Collarbone,
And it always feels true and that hurts.
It feels so true,
I have to work so hard.
Eyebrow,
I tell myself things like it's not safe for me to have money.
Inside of the eye,
I can't make that much money.
Under the eye,
I'd never have any free time if I'd made that much money.
I'd be working all the time.
Under the nose,
It's like a vicious cycle.
Under the mouth,
No wonder I don't spend any time managing my money.
I totally honor that my nervous system is wired to react this way.
Top of the head,
I totally honor that my thoughts have been programmed to be this way.
Eyebrow,
It's been happening without my knowledge and it wasn't my choice.
I'm open to changing this.
Under the eye,
I'm open to observing and becoming aware.
Under the nose,
Every time I feel it come up.
Under the mouth,
I'm open to rewiring my nervous system for my highest and greatest good.
Collarbone,
I'm open to a completely new way of thinking and feeling about my money and wealth.
Top of the head,
I'm open to having a choice in how much I earn,
Create,
Manage,
And save.
Eyebrow,
Because when I shift,
Everything shifts.
Inside of the eye,
Clearing out the old and making way for a new way,
My way.
Under the eye,
I am safe.
It is safe for me to have money.
Under the nose,
I deserve to have money.
Under the mouth,
I deserve to be happy,
Collarbone,
And healthy.
Top of the head,
I am enough.
Eyebrow,
I'm capable of learning and growing.
Side of the eye,
I'm relaxed and open to money.
Under the eye,
I have a bigger purpose.
Under the nose,
And I am now saying yes to money.
Under the mouth,
Yes to earning more,
To receiving more,
To having more.
Collarbone,
I have a bigger purpose.
Top of the head,
And I am saying yes to inspiration,
Strategies,
And actions in my highest and greatest good.
I want you to take a deep breath in,
And go ahead and look at what you wrote down at the beginning,
All of the thoughts and feelings,
And I want you to close your eyes and breathe in,
And I want you to connect to each of those feelings and re-rate them on that scale of one to ten,
One being the least,
Ten being the most.
It's very common for the numbers to go down significantly,
But even if it goes down just a little bit,
You're moving in the right direction.
Repeat this exercise,
And watch how things start to change.
Have a beautiful day.
