Hi everyone,
My name is Sheri and I'm going to share a grounding and clearing meditation with you.
Sometimes we feel untethered,
Disconnected from ourselves,
Out of body,
And it can be really helpful to clear away any static in our system and ground ourselves.
And there are a number of different ways to ground and one of them is through meditation.
And so I'm going to share a grounding meditation that I like to do that includes some clearing also.
So I invite you to get into a comfortable position,
Ideally seated with your feet on the floor and your back supported,
But if you'd like to be lying down that's fine as well.
And if you are lying down I just encourage you to have your feet flat on a surface,
Whatever surface you're lying on,
Your bed,
Your sofa,
The floor,
So your feet can be connected with the ground.
And to start let's take some deep breaths just to help us relax.
So take a breath in through your nose,
Hold it for just a second,
And release it through your mouth with a sigh.
Letting go of any tension you might be holding on to,
Any thoughts that might be swirling in your head,
Just let those go through the breath.
And let's do that one more time.
Inhale through the nose,
Hold it for just a second,
And exhale through your mouth with a sigh,
Releasing anything that doesn't serve you that you're aware of in your system today.
And from here,
Either from your tailbone or from your feet,
Whichever feels best to you,
We're going to drop a grounding cord into the earth.
And what helps me is to imagine that the earth has opened up a space for this cord,
So that you don't have to kind of force it through the earth,
That the earth is welcoming your cord with an opening.
So imagine that there's this opening beneath you in the earth,
And you're going to drop your cord through that opening.
And your cord can be a literal cord,
It could be a thick,
Heavy rope,
Something very sturdy,
It could be a tree trunk with roots that you grow out of the bottom,
It could be a flow of water,
It could be some sort of plant,
It really can be anything that feels sturdy to you.
And you're going to drop this cord through that opening in the earth,
And you're going to let it fall,
Fall,
Fall,
All the way down,
Until it reaches solid ground in the center of the earth.
And once it does reach solid ground,
Imagine it hooking into or rooting into the earth deeply.
I find it easiest to use tree roots for this.
So once your tree trunk reaches the center of the earth,
You can release a whole system of roots deep into the earth to connect you.
But again,
Whatever image works for you is perfect.
And once you feel really rooted,
I'd like you to take your attention back up into your body.
And then bring your attention high,
High above your head to the highest dimension you can imagine.
And imagine connecting with source energy and bringing from that dimension,
Light down through the crown of your head and into your body.
And allow this light to flush out of your system,
Out of your mind,
Out of your body,
Anything you're still holding on to today.
It could be again,
Thoughts swirling in your head,
It could be tension in different parts of your body.
So allow the light to essentially flush anything that doesn't serve you that you're aware of in your body,
Anything you're not aware of as well,
Out of your body and through your grounding cord into the earth.
So you're letting the light flush anything that doesn't serve down,
Down,
Down through the grounding cord and down to the earth to be received and transmuted by the earth.
So turning it over,
Surrendering it to your mother earth.
And if you feel like one flush of light is not enough,
You can bring some more light into your system and flush out whatever's remaining down through your grounding cord.
And you can do that as many times as you need to until you feel like you've really released,
Let go of whatever you were holding onto that didn't feel good,
That wasn't serving you today.
And once you've done that,
I'd like you to take your attention back down to the roots,
To wherever your cord is connected in the earth.
And I'd like you to bring up some of that beautiful energy from the center of the earth through your grounding cord into your body and let it fill your body.
Let that grounding,
Healing,
Loving earth energy fill your body.
So if it's coming through the cord into your tailbone,
You can let it fill your torso and then let it spread down into your legs,
All the way down to the tips of your toes,
Out your arms,
Into the tips of your fingers,
Up into your head.
And if your cord is coming through your feet,
You can still your legs first and just bring that energy up from your feet.
Let it fill the rest of your body.
And let that make you feel even more grounded and connected to the earth,
More filled with that grounding earth energy.
And now that you're feeling hopefully clear and grounded,
At least more clear and grounded than you were earlier,
Let's bring your attention to your heart center.
And it's my experience that the heart holds a lot of wisdom,
Sort of the seat of our soul.
It's the place that we know things from.
We can know things from many parts of our body,
But the heart definitely has a lot to say.
And sometimes when we're feeling ungrounded and not clear,
We can't hear our heart or feel our heart.
So hopefully in the state you're in now,
It's a little bit easier to hear and or feel your heart.
So bringing your attention to your heart,
I'd like you to see if it has anything to share with you right now.
Anything it wants you to do,
It wants you to know,
Any feelings that might be there that might need to be felt and or released,
Any wisdom that wants to come through.
And just take note of that.
So you can take that into the rest of your day,
Or you can note it for tomorrow if it's bedtime for you right now.
And from there,
You can thank your heart,
Thank your body,
Thank the heavens and thank the earth.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
