Hear me.

When I speak,

Share or struggle,

Just hear me.

Don't lecture me.

Don't try to fix me.

Don't give me advice.

Hear me.

Listen.

When I feel pain,

Sadness,

Anger or despair,

Hear me.

Don't try to make me feel better.

Don't try to cheer me up.

Don't give me a solution.

When I share,

Please listen.

Can you do that?

And if you can't,

That's okay.

Be honest.

Be real.

But don't pretend you're trying to fix me to make me feel better because it won't.

It makes it worse.

If you're not able to listen,

I understand.

Then leave me alone.

Go away.

Be honest.

The worst you can do is feeling sorry for me and trying to change the way I feel.

I want to be heard.

I want to be seen.

I want to feel supported without having to change in order to make you feel better.

So please,

If you can,

Just hear me.

Spot on I completely resonate with what you said. Also often I feel that someone is competing with what I am expressing by sharing their worse story to make me feel better or fix things. Which is not helpful at all. I so appreciate this short talk. And yes if someone is not able to listen and just really listen ... Go away! Thank you much blessings Namaste 🙏🌻💕
