Sometimes it can be fun to play with a traditional pranayama practice in a way that invites your discernment for what supports you. This practice was taught to me by B.K.S. Iyengar in the 90s in Mysore, India. It stays with me because I don't always find breath practices easy, and this one allows me to bring compassion to my edges. Equanimity is not something we seek or acquire outside of ourselves; it's about remembering what is inherently present within you. That may not always be easy to find inside, but this practice might be a helpful way of exploring equanimity for yourself.
