In this guided meditation, we'll take a gentle pause for peace. Connect with your breath, surrender judgments, and feel peace in this moment without any judgments. I'll read a portion of Dorothy Hunt's poem titled Peace Is This Moment Without Judgment. I'll share some of the original poem and also share a personalized version. This poem has become a healing mantra in my life when I feel things are making me feel uneasy, anxious, or stressed. May it be a peaceful balm for you as well.

Welcome,

Beloved one.

It is an honor to be here in this quiet moment with you and to pause to find some peace in this moment.

So often in our lives we create a lot of internal stress from our own thoughts,

Ideas,

Judgments,

Perceptions or perspectives about what is going on in our life,

In the life of those we love or in the world around us.

And it is easy to forget that peace is something that we create within us.

It is something that does not have to be dependent on the circumstances outside of us.

Recently through a meditation course here on Insight Timer,

I was read the poem by Dorothy Hunt,

Peace is this Moment Without Judgment.

And that is the poem I am going to share with you in this pause for peace.

Keeping in mind to set aside all your judgments about whatever is going on in your life or the world around you.

To choose to surrender and let go of all that you are thinking about it.

To acknowledge whether you have fear,

Whether you have worry or anxiety.

And to choose for this moment to simply let it all go and to be for a few moments without any judgment whatsoever about yourself,

About others or their circumstances.

Let's take a big inhale together through the nose and exhale out the mouth gently.

Again inhaling through the nose and sighing it out.

Inhaling through the nose,

Breathing in peace.

Breathing out through the mouth,

Sighing out all judgment.

With every breath in,

Drawing in peace.

With every breath out,

Letting go of all judgments.

Peace is this moment without judgment.

That is all.

This moment in the heart space where everything that is,

Is welcome.

Peace is this moment without thinking that it should be some other way.

That you should feel some other thing.

That your life should unfold according to your plans.

Peace is this moment without judgment.

Peace is this moment without judgment.

That is all.

This moment in my heart space where everything that is,

Is welcome.

Peace is this moment without thinking that it should be some other way.

That I should feel some other thing,

That my life should unfold according to my plans.

Peace is this moment without judgment.

That is all.

Continue to sit here with this moment.

With the breath of this moment.

The body of this moment.

The sounds of this moment.

The breaths of this moment.

Sitting here with this moment just as it is.

Without judging it.

Good.

Bad.

Comfortable or uncomfortable.

Peaceful or stressful.

Painful or pain free.

Breathing in peace.

Breathing out judgment.

Peace is this moment without judgment.

That is all.

This moment in the heart space where everything that is,

Is welcome.

You should feel some other thing.

That your life should unfold according to your plans.

Breathing in awareness.

Breathing out acceptance.

Breathing in awareness.
