Hello and welcome to this nervous system regulation practice.
This session is short but powerful.
If you've been feeling stressed during your day,
You're on your lunch break maybe,
Or you're just looking to let go of some residual tension or anxiety that's been lingering throughout your day,
This is the perfect place for you to be.
So if you'd like to sit back or lie down,
You don't necessarily need to watch the video in order to receive the benefits.
But just make sure that your spine is fully supported if you're sitting up.
And that you're nice and comfortable for the next few minutes.
Just going to start with my singing bowl.
Maybe placing one hand on the heart,
One hand on the belly.
And taking a nice slow and deep inhale together.
And exhaling slowly,
Audibly.
And another one,
Inhaling slowly.
Exhaling with a sigh Feeling the tension begin to settle in your body.
Noticing.
Where you might be holding on.
And your shoulders.
YouTube.
Forehead.
Once you notice,
Where that tension is living.
Your next inhale,
Sending your breath to that space so that it might let go.
Giving it permission to release.
It doesn't need to join you where we're going.
Maybe rolling your shoulders back.
You're sitting upright.
Letting go of that frown,
Letting go.
Of the clenching of the jaw Just breathing.
And noticing.
And let it go.
And I want you to start to imagine that.
With every breath that you're taking.
Creating more space.
More space inside your mind.
Often we become stressed.
And overwhelmed because it feels like there's too much going on and there's not enough space to manage all the thoughts.
That might be looping round in our minds.
So with that breath.
Let us intentionally choose.
To expand.
To create breathing room.
So that those thoughts.
.
.
Those worries,
Those stresses.
Aren't so tightly wound and compact anymore Instead,
They're free flowing.
Or settling down completely.
You might imagine.
Like feathers.
That have been thrown up into the air that are now slowly beginning to settle back on the ground again.
And the more in touch you become with your breath.
Process of slowing everything down just for this small moment.
More regulated you will feel.
The calmer your thoughts.
Will eventually feel.
And acknowledging that things might still feel busy.
To give yourself some grace and some patience.
In allowing yourself time for yourself to settle.
You don't need to attach to these thoughts right now.
You can let them go and return to them.
When you have the space when you have the capacity.
Every breath you're taking.
He's making.
Everything settled.
There is no need to be urgent.
There is no need to push,
To force,
To rush We're allowed to just.
.
.
Maybe noticing how those breaths are coming easier now.
Flowing back and forth.
The tension fades,
The stress eases.
And your nervous system.
Is receiving this warm hug.
This sacred pause in your day.
This small moment of presence.
Have an enormous impact.
Closing your eyes if you haven't already done so.
Opening your eyes.
Bringing some movement back in the body.
And getting ready to return to your day.
Feeling more regulated,
More settled.
And prepared for whatever is to come.
Thank you so much for being here.
And hopefully I'll see you again soon.
