Hi and welcome to my garden,

My podcast for prayer and meditation.

Welcome to my garden is the name that I picked based on how I experience my relationship with God.

This garden you may want to imagine as a place for encounter to walk along with each other with the purpose of being a gift of pure beauty and something that must be preserved.

But why pray?

We are created by a God lacking nothing.

C.

S.

Lewis once said,

We are made not primarily that we may love God,

Though we are made for that too,

But that God may love us.

So there is that gift of prayer and it can be learned.

Inside us,

That space,

A garden,

A place of growth for seed.

And when we get too distracted and don't make time for encounters,

Our life becomes narrower and more superficial and driven.

We need God and prayer is a gift and it's beautiful because God is.

We need to experience and develop prayer for ourselves.

And I want to give you inspiration to create more space because something good grows when you sow something good.

And weeds may grow in a garden without care.

Psalm 1,

1-41 says,

Blessed is the person who obeys the law of the Lord.

They don't follow the advice of evil people.

They don't make a habit of doing what sinners do.

They don't join those who make fun of the Lord in His law.

Instead,

The law of the Lord gives them joy.

They think about His law day and night.

That kind of person is like a tree that is planted near a stream of water.

It always bears its fruit at the right time.

Its leaves don't dry up.

Everything godly people do turns out well.

You see,

A tree through its seeds is an eternal source of fruit.

That life may be multiplied.

What grows in the Lord brings forth life and others.

So let's create space that we may bear fruit.

Welcome to your garden.
