Welcome to this pre-workout EFT tapping session,
Which you can use before any form of exercise,
Whether that's going to the gym for a workout,
Running,
Walking or following a fitness routine at home.
So if you're feeling a little bit of resistance,
A little bit of,
Oh,
I'm really struggling to get started here or you're low energy,
You're already doing something right because you're here now trying to do something about it.
Grounding breath in through the nose Nice big inhale.
And then exhaling through the mouth.
Letting go a little bit on the exhale.
And then tapping on the side of the hand,
Repeating after me either in your mind or out loud.
And feel free to change any wording to suit you as well.
Even though part of me.
.
.
Really doesn't feel like working out today.
I'm willing to be patient with myself.
Even though I have a list of reasons why I should skip working out today.
I'm here now and I'm choosing to show up for myself.
Even though my body feels resistance and my motivation is so low.
I'm supporting myself in this moment.
And I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Okay,
So tapping on the eyebrow point,
We're just going to take a moment to acknowledge that resistance.
I really don't feel like working out right now Don't feel like it.
Side of the eye part of me would literally do anything else other than exercising under the eye.
It's like the sofa or couch is calling my name.
Or I just can't be bothered.
Under the nose.
I have loads of reasons to skip working out.
Chin points i'm tired i'm busy I'll do it tomorrow collarbone and these excuses or reasons feel so real right now.
And that's okay.
I'm only human.
You're only human.
Under the arm,
I notice resistance with compassion.
I just notice that resistance.
Top of the head.
And if today genuinely isn't the right day,
That's okay.
Sometimes resting is part of the process.
Back to the eyebrow points.
Maybe I'm tired because life is busy right now.
Side of the eye.
Maybe skipping this workout feels.
.
.
Easier because I'm stretched,
So thin.
Under the eye,
I'm not lazy,
I'm just human.
Under the nose and I can be gentle with myself here.
Chin points.
Have to be perfect.
To show up.
To work out,
To walk,
To run.
Collarbone points.
I just have to take one small step.
Under the arm.
I can do hard things even when I don't feel like it.
Top of the head.
And I can be kind to myself while I do.
So whatever you choose for yourself today,
Choose with kindness.
Okay,
We're going to do a round now where we kind of play the tape forward a little bit.
So tapping on the eyebrow points.
What if I just start and see how it goes?
Even just committing to five minutes.
You might like to imagine yourself just starting in just doing five minutes.
Of the eye.
I know how I feel when I skip.
Exercise or skip working out,
Whatever it is.
Under the eye,
I feel a bit guilty.
Low in energy.
That feeling of.
.
.
I wish I'd done that.
Under the nose,
But I also know how I feel when I do show up.
10 points.
That sense of pride.
Confidence.
That buzz.
In my body and mind.
Collarbone points,
That feeling of.
.
.
Oh,
I actually did it.
I actually did it.
I didn't want to but I did.
Under the arm,
Thinking about how my body thanks me for that.
Or maybe my mind too.
Top of the head.
Maybe future me,
Tomorrow me.
Is already grateful.
Back to the eyebrow point.
Every time I show up,
I'm building something.
Side of the eye.
I'm building strength.
Resilience.
Vitality.
Under the eye,
I'm investing in my future self right now.
Under the nose,
I'm building a body that carries me through life.
Chin point,
A body that stays strong and capable.
Collarbone points.
Movement feels like medicine.
And I get to choose this.
Under the arm,
Every rep,
Every step.
Every effort counts.
Even if it is just five minutes,
It matters.
It matters.
Makes a difference,
You know.
Top of the head.
I'm building longevity with every single session.
Back to the eyebrow point.
I choose to think about my future self for a moment.
So we're going to fast forward years and years here.
Side of the eye,
My future self,
Strong.
Mobile,
Still showing up for life.
Under the eye,
I imagine being 80 and still moving with ease.
Under the nose,
Still walking,
Bending,
Lifting.
Living fully.
And that person is built right here,
Right now,
Today.
Collarbone my 80 year old self is cheering me on today so you might like to imagine them you can do it under the arm.
They are so grateful that I didn't give up on this.
Top of the head.
I'm doing this for every version of me.
Past,
Present and future.
Okay,
We're going to do one more round.
So really feel into it.
Okay,
Really sit tall,
Say it with confidence.
Really let these words land in your heart.
Tapping on the eyebrow points.
I know why I exercise.
Side of the eye.
I exercise for my health.
My energy.
My life.
Under the eye for the people I love.
And the life I want to live.
Under the nose.
I'm capable of so much more than I sometimes believe.
You really are.
Chin points,
My body is strong and ready to move.
Believe it,
Feel it,
Say it.
My body is strong and I'm ready to move.
Collarbone points.
I give myself full permission to feel good.
While exercising.
Under the arm.
I am powerful.
I am resilient.
I am ready.
Top of the head let's go I got this Let's go.
I got this.
We're going to start with five minutes.
Okay,
So stop tapping there.
You can close your eyes.
Just take a breath in through the nose.
And out through the mouth when you're ready.
Just take a moment to notice how you're feeling after that tapping.
Maybe there is a bit of a pull to move,
A bit of an urge to think,
Oh,
Actually,
Yeah,
I am just going to do five minutes.
Or maybe there's a calling for rest.
Whatever we choose today is okay and appropriate.
OK,
So be kind to yourself.
You know,
Everything is welcome.
And you hold more wisdom than you know.
So listen to your body.
And you've already done something so powerful today just by showing up and doing some tapping.
Okay,
Well done.
So open your eyes,
Have a little stretch.
Now,
If you can,
If you choose to go and move that body,
It all counts a little or a lot.
It all counts.
You've got this.
OK,
Thank you so much for tapping with me today.
Take care.
