Welcome to this Reiki infused body scan meditation.
My name is Tawana Antoinette and as we begin,
Find a comfortable position either laying down or seated.
Let your hands rest softly,
Maybe with your palms facing upward,
Open to receiving healing.
Now close your eyes or lower your gaze and take a long gentle breath in and slow breath out.
With each breath invite yourself to arrive fully to be present,
To be here.
Not for me,
Not for anyone else,
But for you.
This is 15 minutes out of your entire day that is only for you.
Now silently or aloud,
Set your intention to receive exactly what you need.
You might say something like I invite universal life force energy to flow where it is needed.
I am open to healing,
I am open to balance,
And I am open to peace.
Visualize a soft light,
Maybe golden or white,
Beginning to gently surround your body like a warm cocoon.
This is the energy of Reiki.
It is pure,
It is unconditional,
And it is always available to you.
We'll move now through the body slowly and with each area gently place your awareness and if you like visualize Reiki flowing in like warm light,
Clearing,
And soothing.
Now bring your attention to your face,
To your eyes,
To your temples,
To your forehead,
And up to the crown of your head.
Feel any tension there soften.
Picture Reiki energy flowing in from above like a waterfall of light entering your crown and nourishing your entire system.
I want you to bring gentle awareness to the neck,
To the throat,
And to the jaw next.
These areas often hold unspoken truth,
Stress,
Or tension.
Invite Reiki to open your throat chakra,
Clearing any blockages to communication and to self-expression.
Soften your jaw,
Relax the tongue,
Let the healing energy flow.
Now notice your shoulders,
Your arms,
And your hands.
If you carry burdens here,
Allow them to melt away from your body.
Picture energy flowing freely down your arms and out through your fingertips.
Reiki moves with intention even where your hands are not placed physically.
So just imagine any tension you're holding in your shoulders,
Your arms,
And your hands escaping gently through the fingertips.
Now focus on the chest,
The lungs,
And the heart center.
You might visualize a green or a pink light here.
That's the energy of love.
Feel your breath moving through your heart space.
Invite Reiki to clear grief,
To expand love,
And to restore peace.
Now bring awareness to the belly and the lower back.
Place one hand over your abdomen and feel the energy radiating inward.
Breathe into your core and allow Reiki to ease digestion,
To release tension,
And to center your emotions.
Shift your focus to your hips and your pelvic area.
This is the seat of safety and the seat of creativity.
Invite Reiki to gently restore balance here if you need it.
Allow any heaviness or any discomfort to dissolve,
To be softened by the warmth of the healing Reiki energy.
Move your awareness to your ankles,
To your shins,
To your calves,
And to your knees.
With each breath,
Invite Reiki to release stored tension or fatigue.
If you suffer from knee pains,
Shin pains,
Ankle pains,
Calf pains,
Imagine a healing light moving upward with ease,
Refreshing your entire lower body.
Last but not least,
Bring your attention to your feet.
Visualize Reiki energy entering through the soles,
Connecting you to the earth.
Feel the tingling or warmth as the healing energy flows up through your toes,
Through your arches,
And your heels,
Anchoring you to the earth,
Promoting a feeling of safety,
Support,
And being grounded.
Feel your whole body from head to toe as one connected being held in Reiki,
Held in a cocoon of warm light.
Let the energy circulate freely,
Restoring harmony.
Sense a gentle glow radiating from within yourself,
And repeat these affirming words to yourself.
I am whole,
I am supported,
I am healing.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The air around you.
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Open your eyes softly.
