Welcome,

This is going to be a medium-length meditation and I think I'll call this meditation on the richness of not wanting.

And as usual,

We're going to spend some time coming out of the meditation that's so we absorb the full benefits of meditation and so that we are able to take the peace and joy and mindfulness that we find here back into our next activity,

Whatever it might be.

But let's get started.

Relax,

Relax,

Take a deep breath in,

In and out.

And now maybe a comfortable breath,

Maybe three quarters in and in and out.

Close your eyes,

Relax,

Relax.

Take another deep breath in and out and in and out.

And now a comfortable breath in,

Relax.

You will notice that things come to you,

Ideas,

Memories,

Sensations,

Feelings.

Let them come,

Let them go.

They will come and they will go.

But you are here when they come and after they go.

Stay here in this pure,

Clear,

Open space,

The space behind all of those feelings and memories and ideas.

The space that's clear and pure and knowing and open.

This is the space you call,

I,

Just for now.

Stay here,

Relax.

Be open to whatever comes.

This openness is beautiful and natural.

Things will come,

Things will go.

But just for now,

Stay here.

Settle into yourself.

Notice that you are notice that you are fully present and effortlessly alert.

Notice the peace that is here.

These ideas,

These memories,

These feelings,

They seem like waves that come and go.

Notice how they're absorbed back into this beautiful background,

Openness and peace and beauty.

The more you notice how these things come and dissolve into that ocean,

The more you recognize who you truly are.

Just for now,

Stay here,

Relax.

Be this beautiful peace,

This open space,

This background against which all of these things come and dissolve back into.

Simply allow yourself to be what you truly are.

Take a deep breath and exhale.

Another deep breath and exhale.

And now a comfortable breath and exhale.

Move a little,

Change your focus from inside to outside.

Rub your hands together,

Rub your hands together,

Maybe gently rub your eyes.

Look around.

If there are others in your space,

Greet them.

Express your gratitude for their sharing this moment with you.

Express your gratitude for your being here and for our doing this meditation together.

Now decide if you want to go back into meditation or go on with the other things in your life.

Make that decision.

I'm going to go for now,

But I hope we can meet back here soon for another meditation.

I would like that.

Bye for now.
