Hello friends,
This mini practice is on opening to the ground of being.
We open to the ground of being by letting go of what's familiar and we do it each in our own way.
So getting relaxed now,
Rest your attention in the lower part of your belly,
Letting your breath move down to the lower belly and opening to the quiet and the still sense of mystery within you and all around you,
Anchoring in your breath down into the belly,
Letting yourself fall into that silent dark space where there are no words,
No images,
Letting go of all clinging and grasping,
Releasing yourself into awareness,
Into meeting the dark mystery of your being,
Feeling the sovereign aloneness of your inner being.
This might evoke memories of loneliness,
But remember that those are memories of the psychological self and they shouldn't be confused with the inner aloneness of the ground of being.
So don't let those old memories or projections distract you.
Instead keep your focus on the inner silence and vast space of awareness within.
A kind of regal,
Sovereign,
Majestic aloneness.
And should you feel frightened,
Remember that the ground is underfoot supporting you.
The sky is overhead as your witness and the breath in your belly is your anchor.
You are safe.
Trust in the supports of ground,
Sky,
And breath and let yourself experience the inner peace that's there.
Notice that in the deep silence of your being you can relinquish all of your old identities,
Your struggles,
All your striving and resistance.
And as you do,
You enter a dimension of being where you are emptied of all self-clinging,
Of all self-definitions,
Of all those limitations,
Where you become empty and free of the psychological self.
And you stand as an innocent and spontaneous presence.
You leave all knowing behind and enter this space with childlike curiosity and delight.
Rest as this unknowing,
Innocent presence as long as you like.
And as you go about your day,
Call it to mind.
Call this presence to mind.
Give yourself moments to inwardly taste it.
To reflect on the wordless,
Silent beauty of your being.
Be well,
My friend.
