Welcome to your Worry to Wonder EFT tapping practice.
Just finding a comfortable seated position,
And as you find your comfortable seated position could you really let yourself nestle into the support beneath you,
Allowing the weight of your pelvis,
Your torso to be held,
Allowing the arms to be soft,
The skin on the face to soften,
And the legs to rest a little here.
Now,
As you arrive in this practice,
Either with a soft gaze or your eyes closed,
Could you just notice the quality of your thoughts?
Just noticing the thought forms you're having,
This thought,
And this thought,
And this one.
Just noticing the thoughts,
And then noticing the thoughts that you're having about the thoughts,
Maybe there's judgment or criticism there,
Just seeing whether you can notice all of it.
No need to make any of it wrong,
Expect it to be any other way,
Just allowing what is here to be,
Just noticing the quality of your thoughts.
Could you begin to notice your breath now?
Noticing your breath,
And as you next exhale,
Could you allow this exhale to land you into your heart space?
Just notice the qualities that are present in the chest,
The heart space,
What's here?
Could you notice how much worry is alive in your system in this moment?
Perhaps tightness in the chest,
Kind of like dissolving feeling,
Or quality of anxious thoughts in the mind.
Just notice,
And if you were to give this worry an intuitive rating from one to ten,
How worried are you from one to ten?
One being not very worried at all,
And ten being super worried.
Just notice where it's living in your system this morning.
Could be somewhere other than what I've mentioned,
Maybe in the belly.
Just noticing the qualities that are here,
Meeting what's alive,
The worry,
The anxiety that's present here.
When you're ready,
We come to tap on the side of the hand,
Repeating out loud after me.
If there's any words that don't resonate,
You can always insert your own words,
Making sure you take full responsibility for your well-being here.
Saying something out loud as we tap on the side of the hand,
On this fleshy part underneath the pinky.
Something like,
Even though I'm noticing all of this worry,
These worrying thoughts,
This tension in my chest,
I choose to meet myself as I am,
And even though I'm noticing all of this worry in this moment,
All of these things that I'm worried about,
I choose to honor myself and my nervous system.
Even though I'm feeling worried,
I don't know how things are going to work out,
I choose to love myself as I am,
And open to wonderful possibilities.
Tapping on the inside of the eyebrows,
Just where the hair ends there when you're ready,
All of this worry.
Tapping on the outside of the eyes,
Just in front of the temples,
Thinking about worst case scenarios.
Tapping underneath the eyes,
All of this worry,
Underneath the nose,
All of these negative thoughts projected into the future.
Underneath the bottom lip,
What if it doesn't work out?
Underneath the collarbones,
All of this worry in my,
And just noticing where you're feeling it,
What the qualities of it are.
And tapping underneath the armpits,
About three finger widths down from the armpits,
All of this worry.
Crown of the head,
Noticing all of this worry.
Tapping on the inside of the eyebrows,
Just really tuning into this quality of worry in your system.
Where is it living?
What color is it?
What texture?
And could you take a breath into or near this sensation?
Let the air go out of the mouth.
Tapping on the outside of the eyes,
Noticing the way that my brain is trying to keep me safe from uncertainty.
Tapping underneath the eyes,
All of this uncertainty.
Underneath the nose,
I'm worried about it.
Underneath the bottom lip,
I don't know what's going to happen.
Underneath the collarbones,
All of this worry about uncertainty.
I don't know what's going to happen.
Tapping underneath the armpits,
I don't know what's going to happen,
So my brain's making all of these worst case scenarios,
So I'm prepared.
Tapping on the crown of the head,
And as you tap on the crown of your head,
Could you just thank your brain for keeping you safe,
For trying to keep you safe from all of these perceived dangers?
Thank you,
Brain.
Just really getting a sense of how much your brain loves you,
How much your nervous system loves you,
Creating,
Generating all of these scary things,
So that you're well prepared if it happens.
Just taking a round of breath here,
As you exhale,
Let the breath go out of the mouth.
Tapping on the inside of the eyebrows,
What if it doesn't happen?
Tapping on the outside of the eyes,
What if all of these scenarios that my brain's created don't happen?
Tapping underneath the eyes,
I wonder what else is possible.
Underneath the nose,
I wonder what other possibilities there are.
Underneath the bottom lip,
It's only fair to bring my awareness to all of the positive options as well.
Tapping underneath the collarbones,
What if it's better than I could have ever imagined?
Tapping underneath the armpits,
Noticing my primal ability to keep me safe,
To keep my system safe,
And I'm so grateful for it.
Tapping on the crown of the head,
And I'm choosing to open to new possibilities now.
Tapping on the inside of the eyebrows,
Choosing to open to new ways about thinking about the future.
Tapping on the outside of the eyes,
I wonder what is possible.
Tapping underneath the eyes,
I'm so curious about how well this could work out for me.
Tapping underneath the nose,
I wonder what else is possible.
Tapping underneath the bottom lip,
Just noticing where wonder sits in your being,
The experience of wonder and curiosity.
How it feels to engage with wonder,
Curiosity,
Opening to endless possibilities available in this universe,
This life.
Tapping underneath the collarbones,
I know that life is uncertain,
That's the only thing that is certain.
Tapping underneath the armpits,
So I choose to open to the uncertainty,
To the infinite possibilities.
As you tap on the crown of the head,
Just really allowing yourself to tune into this sense of childlike wonder,
As if you were a child and you're meeting the world for the first time,
Maybe you're in nature.
Just noticing this sense of innocent wonder,
Curiosity,
Bringing the hands to the heart or somewhere else on the body that supports you to connect to yourself.
I'm noticing your breath here,
I'm just saying out loud,
I wonder,
Feeling the support holding you beneath you,
Getting a sense of the entire pressing up into you,
Holding you in this moment,
Getting a sense of the air around you,
Holding you,
And getting a sense as well of the entire universe above you,
Supporting you.
Noticing how the worry feels now from one to ten,
Just noticing the intuitive rating from one to ten,
And noticing how strong the wonder,
Curiosity feels from one to ten,
And taking a final round of breath here,
Breathing into this wonder,
The spaciousness created by it.
When you're ready,
Rubbing your hands together,
Creating some heat,
Rubbing your hands together,
And then placing the hands over the eyes.
As we open the eyes behind the hands,
We open the eyes to a whole new world of possibilities,
As if you're opening your eyes with this childlike wonder,
And when you're ready,
Moving the hands away from the eyes,
Maybe rubbing the face,
Gently coming back into the space,
Giving yourself permission to take the fruits of this practice into your life,
Inviting wonder.
Anytime you're worrying,
Choosing to tune in to this sense of wonder,
Thanking the worry,
And choosing to turn your awareness to wonder.
Thank you so much for joining me.
