Today on The Effortless Life,

Climbing Mount Everest.

Take a deep breath and settle in,

And as you make yourself comfortable,

Continue to breathe and gently close your eyes.

Grounding yourself with your breath,

Inhale in through your nose and sigh it out,

Releasing any tension that you might have unknowingly been holding onto.

Breathe again and this time,

I want you to imagine yourself one year from today.

One year out into the future,

And you are celebrating something big.

Something big that you are incredibly proud of for accomplishing this past year.

Bring that thing to mind now,

Whatever it is,

Whatever that accomplishment is,

Something that you didn't think was possible,

You didn't know if it would happen,

But it did.

It went exactly according to your plan.

And here you are celebrating this big moment.

Now using your imagination,

Stay there one year from today and you're waking up.

First thing in the morning,

Look around.

What's the first thing that you see?

See yourself going about your day as if it were today,

As if you were living it right now.

What is the first thing you do when you open your eyes?

And then what?

What do you do next?

Be as specific and detailed as you can,

As if this were happening around you right now,

As if this future moment were right now.

What else would you be doing knowing that today is the day you are celebrating this monumental occasion,

This huge thing that you have just accomplished?

Notice how you feel.

What specific emotions are you feeling?

Good.

And as you envision yourself going about your day,

How specifically are you celebrating?

What specific things are you doing right now to celebrate this milestone accomplishment?

Good.

Now staying there at that future date as if it were now,

I want you to pause,

Maybe envision yourself grabbing a journal,

Grabbing a pen,

And writing down your answer to this question.

Looking back over the span of this year,

What was it that you did differently in order to get here?

What did you do differently in order to achieve this milestone?

What made all the difference?

Notice that now.

Good.

Staying in the present tense as if it were happening now,

You were looking back over the span of that year,

Noticing what you did differently.

What else did you do differently?

What else?

And if you notice yourself getting stuck,

Pause and breathe.

Bring yourself to that moment out in the future as if it were now.

Take a breath and look back.

Notice how there's no fear there because it's already been done.

You're already celebrating this accomplishment.

It's done.

You did it.

What else did you do differently in order to get here?

Good.

Take a moment now to notice if there's anything else that you did differently to make this happen.

And now,

I want you to look back over this year and notice what did you let go of to make this happen?

What specifically did you let go of in order to accomplish this milestone?

Notice it now.

Yeah.

Good.

What else did you let go of?

That's a big one,

Isn't it?

What else?

What was the big thing that you let go of in order to accomplish this major achievement?

And maybe some little things,

The little things that maybe at the time you didn't realize were holding you back,

But you had to let go of those too.

Good.

Take another moment here and notice,

Was there anything else that you let go of that you know in your heart needed to go because it's what brought you here?

To this moment,

Celebrating this accomplishment.

Yeah,

Really good.

Now,

Taking a deep breath in,

Bring yourself back to this present moment on this day,

At this time.

Take as much time as you need to bring yourself back here right now.

And now with this new clarity on what needs to happen in order to achieve that milestone and to be celebrating it one year from today,

What is your next required action?

Trusting that your success is inevitable.

What is the one thing that you need to do today that you can do before you put your head on the pillow at night tonight to bring you one step closer to achieving that big goal?

Good.

Now go out and do it.
