So welcome to this short meditation on what's resonating for us.
So taking a moment to settle and arrive,
Bringing your awareness to the points of contact that you're making with the earth,
And an invitation to narrow your awareness to your breath,
Breathing in and breathing out,
And expanding your awareness from the breath to include all of your body,
Elongating your spine,
And an invitation to bring a light smile to your face.
And I'd like you to bring into your mind's eye a small action,
Activity,
A thing you have on your to-do list for today,
An expectation,
A hope,
Maybe there's a dread there,
But maintaining a dignified posture and a light smile upon your face,
An invitation to bring your awareness into the body and its experience.
What can you notice in your body as we hold this story in our mind's eye?
What information is here?
Being tender and kind and curious.
And I'm going to invite you to bring your arms around yourself,
Find your shoulders,
Pressing into yourself,
Your hands and your arms with a light squeeze,
Holding yourself,
Maybe twisting from side to side,
Maybe a gentle rock.
And then bringing your arms back down by your side,
Resting in the felt sensation of having made those movements.
Checking in with your posture,
Allowing the breath to breathe itself with that light smile on your face.
Knowing that whatever is ahead of you today,
Your breath and your body are always there to anchor you in the present moment,
To ground you,
And that you can hold yourself in this way with a light smile on your face and observe yourself with tenderness and kindness and curiosity.
And as best you can,
Taking this sense of connection,
Awareness and openness into whatever you have left to do with your day.
You're welcome to rest in stillness for a little longer as I close this recording.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to take this moment with yourself and me.
