So we're just going to take a three part breathing space with an action step at the end and then I'm going to introduce a practical task around taking care of ourselves and following along from the reverse golden rule of not being our own worst enemies.

So taking a moment to arrive,

As you are,

So noticing the points of contact that you're making with the earth.

I want you to embody a graceful and dignified posture,

So elongating your spine,

Gently tucking your chin so the back of your neck is neither too long nor too short.

I want you to narrow your awareness to your breath,

Extending that out breath,

Just so it's slightly longer than the inhalation.

And then expanding your awareness from the breath to include all of your body,

So we've narrowed and we're now widening the lens of our attention.

Breathing in your body,

Falling awake to your experiences just as they are,

Nothing to change,

Nothing to fix,

We're simply noticing.

I want you to place a hand on your heart and one on your belly,

I just want you to consider this question.

What is the kindest,

Simplest,

Next step?

What is the kindest,

Simplest,

Next step?

And if you find it helpful,

After this practice,

An invitation to write a list of the things that you need to do,

The things that you want to get done.

And then writing next to each item,

What has to be done,

What would be nice to do,

And what can wait.

What is the kindest,

Simplest,

Next step?

And as best you can,

Taking the sense of connection and awareness into whatever you have left to do with your day.
