The Ballad of the Bees Welcome,
Welcome,
Welcome!
Welcome,
Honey bees!
Welcome,
Bumble bees!
Welcome,
Orchid bees!
I'm so delighted to be your Queen of Ceremonies!
Welcome,
Mining bees!
Welcome,
Mason bees!
And a special welcome to all the wild bees!
Welcome to our annual Bee Bee Jubilee!
A jubilee where we can simply bee!
The blissful buzzing of the bee crowd grows louder and louder.
The Queen of Ceremonies spins in ecstasy and raises her wings to hush the buzz.
Tonight,
We swarm in celebration of bees around the world.
Queen bees,
Worker bees,
Drones.
Billions of bee wings whirl in ecstasy as the Queen continues.
We celebrate black bees,
Brown bees,
Orange bees,
Striped bees,
Emerald green bees,
Yellow bees,
Bright blue bees,
Bees from all countries!
Tiny bees,
Big bees,
Young bees,
Old bees,
We all live in unity!
Now together,
Let's all sing the Ballad of the Bees in our favorite key,
Bee!
Here we go!
The buzzing of all the bees creates a harmonic hum as they symphonize.
Whether a housekeeping bee,
Guard bee,
Or drone,
We work in harmony without a moan or groan.
Whether a nurse,
Carpenter,
Or queen bee,
Ever so humble are we.
Every bee's job,
One of equality,
As together we support our family.
We are blissful bees,
Open to all possibilities.
A busy bee is a happy bee,
Never a moment to be gossipy.
We love to buzz and sing,
Dance,
Swing,
And do our thing.
Our hives buzz with activity,
Night and day.
We don't let a precious moment slip away.
We do sleep and rest,
Not all the same time,
As we treasure each moment so sublime.
Each of us a caring bee,
And oh,
Ever so friendly!
We do not sting without cause,
For it puts our precious life on permanent pause.
Our beehives are so precious and pure,
Homes where we are safe to love and thrive for sure.
Our combs hold honey and baby bees,
And are made of wax from our tummies.
The beeswax we make for our combs also makes candles that light people's homes.
Some bees live alone,
Some live in hives.
Our honey and pollen help people live healthy lives.
Some bees burrow in the soil,
Others bore holes in trees.
But we all love to zip,
Zip,
Zip in the breeze.
Whirling 12,
000 times per minute,
Our two pairs of wings carry us through the air like royal kings.
It takes 10,
000 bees flying over 55,
000 miles,
Touching 2,
000 flowers to make one pound of honey.
So we hope your heart is full of smiles when the honey hits your lips and tummy.
We're gourmet chefs of pollen,
Honey,
And royal jelly.
So sweet,
Nutritious,
And gluten-free.
Feasting on bee bread of pollen and honey keeps us healthy and full of energy.
We are angels in disguise,
So loving and wise.
With 70 million years of living in our pedigree,
Our intuition guides us to flowers poison-free.
Smog and loud noises,
GMOs and glyphosates bother us too,
Just like they're harmful to people like you.
Societies have come and gone,
While bees live on and on to provide for the next one we come upon.
With two compound and three simple eyes,
We fly the skies looking for a pollen prize.
We excitedly dive into a flower's pure heart,
Enjoying nature's unique works of art.
Whether it's cool or warm,
Cloudy or sunny,
We set out in search of nectar to turn into honey.
Bee scouts zig and zag out from the hive to find delightful blossoms so alive.
When scouts discover a feast so fine,
They bee-line straight back to give a sign.
Their special waggle dance shows every worker bee the fastest way to their delicious discovery.
Each day,
We fly mile after mile,
Gathering pollen with a smile.
Buzzing from bloom to bloom to over 100 per trip,
We zoom,
Zoom,
Zoom.
Not harming color,
Scent,
Or flower,
We gather nectar and pollen hour after hour.
Our special sense of smell,
Such a sweet fate,
Sniffing the fragrant flowers we pollinate.
Without our miraculous magic touch,
There'd be no watermelons,
Apples,
Strawberries,
And such.
The blueberries,
Blackberries,
And avocados people love so much,
They too come from our bee-lightful touch.
The papaya,
Peach,
And cashew,
So tasty to chew,
We lovingly pollinate for people like you.
Broccoli,
Cauliflower,
And hot peppers you might not really like may make you wish that we'd go on strike.
Lemonade you make from lemons so sour,
The result of our awesome bee power.
This ballad of the bees,
Our happy theme song,
We sing,
Sing,
Sing as we pollinate cucumbers that grow so long.
Cantaloupe,
Figs,
And mangoes,
Oh so sweet,
Treats from bees for you to eat.
Squash bees designed to pollinate pumpkin,
Zucchini,
And other squashes too.
Politely ask that you not squish any bee with your shoe.
We're unique among all God's creatures.
We help the ecology and do not prey on other critters.
Our honey has everything to keep people and us alive.
It's God's gift from the hive.
We're thankful Albert Einstein's genius let others know of our true bee brilliance.
If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth,
Man would have no more than four years to live and birth.
Whatever we believe,
We can achieve as our colonies live together in perfect harmonies.
Being a bee is the life for me.
Being blissful,
Fruitful,
And free!
The Ballad of the Bees happily holds the keys to vibrant health and longevity.
Let's all just bee!
