Did you know that not all thoughts are quite the same?
Did you know that some thought forms come from outside our brain?
For example,
Our gut and heart often provide the seed feeling for a thought to coalesce around and upon.
If you are liking the sounds of this concept,
Or feel intuitively it has merit,
Then I have stirred the neurons in your lower mind centres into action,
And it is they that are informing your brain to continue listening or to stop right now.
There is also another source for thought forms that come from outside our neurology completely.
These are the thought forms that come in from nowhere and inspire you into action.
In meditation this morning,
I had exactly one of those,
And it came in as just the title of this guided meditation,
What's Your Flavour?
As the music behind my words came along in a similar manner a few months ago.
All you have to do in order to receive such an external thought form is to lose yourself in some ambience for no more than 33 seconds exactly,
And an idea,
Concept or feeling that you were not expecting will pop along.
Try this now.
So what came along for you?
I would be intrigued and delighted if you could share it by way of review at the end of this meditation.
Note that these flashes of inspiration are often memorable,
So you don't even have to write it down.
You can even send the idea to a future version of you,
In a few minutes time from now,
And you will recall it immediately.
So I have already made two bold statements,
First being that an idea will come into you from nowhere,
And the second being that you will remember it at the end of this track.
You would be right to question my assuredness.
Part of this is pure experience,
And part because I am operating from a place where my head,
Heart and gut are in complete harmony.
Some years ago,
In 2009,
I wrote a book called Flavors of Thought,
And I am now serializing that book and others as courses on Insight Timer.
The seed for the title of the book came from another book I wrote on Lightbulb Moments.
While writing it,
The idea came in that thoughts emanate from the subatomic realm,
And that our neurons are tuning forks that help us tap into the collective consciousness.
I remembered that the subatomic particles called quarks can have six types of flavors,
Or differences in mass and charge,
Namely up,
Charm,
Down,
Bottom,
Top,
And strange.
So it occurred to me,
How would it be if our thoughts came in different flavors too?
Coincidentally or not,
I was studying the Esoteric Tarot at the time,
And learned that twenty-one of the keys could be arranged into three rows of seven each.
Further,
I learned that the bottom row of seven keys described strange thought forms that come down from the top of our heads.
The middle row of seven keys described thought forms that could be charmed up from our lower mind centers.
Then the top row of seven keys described conscious thought processes where we bottom out the thought forms that have percolated in from elsewhere.
These themes are explored in much more detail in the courses that the book inspired me to publish on the app.
For now though,
I'm inviting you to listen to some very specific ambience that will conjure up thoughts of different flavors for you.
Enjoy tasting the flavors that come along naturally for all of us,
And do share by way of comment what comes in for you.
Thanks for coming along to this tasting.
