Hello and welcome.
This is Tana at Tonic Wellspring.
This is your meditation for the crossroads of becoming.
Begin by allowing a gentle wave of relaxation to move through you now.
Simply notice your body shifting gears as you invite relaxation to flow from the crown down through the body.
The muscles around your eyes soften,
The forehead smoothing out,
The jaw becomes a little more loose and slack.
Knowing a relaxed jaw sends a message to the rest of your body that it's safe to relax.
Allowing your breath to slow,
Easy,
Unforced.
And as you settle here,
I invite you to call on your mind's eye a color you love.
A color that is soothing to your system,
Perhaps it starts as one particular color and then forms another color.
Whatever your system naturally responds to is perfect and correct.
And as you sense that color,
You feel it begin to flow through the crown into the body.
Perhaps it appears as a waterfall of the color you love,
A mist,
A river,
A soft glowing light.
Whether it's a thought,
An image,
A sensation,
A knowing,
You let that color flow all the way through the body.
And eventually it flows out your feet deep into the earth,
Allowing it to continuously flow through the mind,
Through every aspect of your physical body.
You feel it flowing through the heart space,
The root,
And eventually it flows into the earth,
Grounding you,
Supporting you,
Connecting you to all of the resources of life in and around you.
I will begin to count from five down to one and every decreasing number will support you relaxing and releasing even more.
Five,
Doubling your relaxation,
Letting the conscious analytical mind drift and float.
Let it go on standby.
Four,
As your subconscious takes the lead now,
Trusting your subconscious knows what to do with these words in a manner that serves your highest and greatest good.
Three,
Deeper and deeper now.
Two,
Almost there.
One,
Arriving now in a very safe place,
Your safe place for this moment.
It may be somewhere in nature,
Somewhere imagined,
A version of the place you are now or something else entirely.
You know it's your safe place by how safe,
Calm,
And empowered you feel.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and notice the air of your safe place.
There may even be a fragrance you can imagine breathing in.
If there are sounds,
You hear those sounds or the absence of sound.
Perhaps you reach out and touch something nearby through your mind's eye,
Noticing its texture,
Temperature,
Presence.
And as you attune to this place,
You remember something important.
Here,
You are the one who calls the shots.
You can adjust any detail,
The lighting,
The colors,
The environment,
Even the emotional tone or temperature.
As you connect to this place through the power of your imagination,
You remember that imagination is not fantasy.
It's the blueprint of creation.
And from aligned energy,
Inspired action arises.
From stillness,
Clarity emerges.
And from coherence,
New realities begin to form.
And from this safe place,
You allow your mind to gently drift and recall the crossroads that exist in everyday life.
Those small moments when you choose what is familiar or what is aligned.
Moments when the familiar may feel safe,
Predictable,
Known.
Even when it's outdated.
Even when it is no longer serving your becoming.
And simply observe without judgment how natural it is for the human nervous system to prefer the familiar.
Familiar is predictable.
Predictable equals a sense of safety.
And yet,
You know it's also true that nothing grows inside complete comfort.
All growth requires some degree of uncertainty,
Some willingness to tolerate risk,
An openness to step into the unknown.
And as you reflect on this,
You may begin to notice how often life offers these crossroads.
Teeny moments of choosing honesty over avoidance,
Self-trust over people-pleasing,
Expansion over contraction,
Courage over habit.
And you begin to understand each moment is not just a choice of action,
It's a choice of identity.
A choice between the old self and the emerging highest self.
Now gently,
If it feels comfortable,
If it feels inviting,
If it feels encouraged and inspired,
You may imagine or actually stretch your arms out horizontally to either side.
Simply sensing that horizontal line in your awareness is more than enough.
This horizontal line represents the full human experience.
The spectrum of life,
Pleasure and pain,
Certainty and confusion,
Loss and gain,
Comfort and discomfort.
This horizontal line honors the reality that life contains contrast and what we often label negative is also part of the human experience.
And now bring attention to the vertical column of your body.
From the crown of your head down the central column,
Through the spine,
Through the base,
Into the earth,
Up into the skies.
This vertical line represents awareness,
Higher perspective and connection to your highest self while being grounded to the earth.
And as these two lines meet,
You form the sacred cross within your body,
A living symbol of embodiment.
The horizontal line of human experience met by the horizontal human experience that is met by the vertical stroke of awareness.
You begin to sense something powerful.
What feels negative is not aware of this vertical stroke of awareness.
And what feels negative is not erased by awareness,
But it is transformed by it.
The negative symbol becomes the plus sign because awareness changes your relationship to the experience.
It brings perspective,
Meaning,
Purpose,
Choice.
And here you may reflect on times in your life when something once felt painful,
Unwelcome or difficult,
Yet later revealed unexpected growth,
Wisdom,
Strength and greater alignment.
And you realize it was not the experience alone that created transformation.
It was the awareness,
The choice you brought to it.
That vertical stroke of consciousness meeting the horizontal line of life.
And while healing is nonlinear,
You feel this experience of embodiment,
A deep sense of integration.
You rest in this sacred cross within your body and feel ego and soul working together.
The ego's instinct to protect now guided by the highest good in service to your soul's purpose.
That's right.
And you remember,
Discomfort does not mean danger.
It often is the signal of expansion.
And you can tolerate temporary discomfort when you are anchored in your highest self.
Now in your safe place,
You are both rooted and open,
Stable and evolving,
Safe and growing.
You can familiarize your system to a whole new reality now.
Future pacing,
You already have access to an embodied experience of your future self.
Collapsing time right here and now.
Now,
You recognize you have the capacity to meet life's crossroads with awareness.
To pause,
To breathe,
To ask.
Am I choosing from fear or familiarity or from alignment?
Is this the path of becoming my highest self?
And you realize you need not eliminate discomfort,
Only remaining conscious within it.
Because awareness transforms everything it touches.
And take moments now to rest inside your column of light,
The color you love flowing in and around you.
That's right.
Feeling centered,
Clear,
And protected.
Connected to your highest self.
Connected to your highest self,
You are now ready to return refreshed,
Renewed,
Recalibrated.
Knowing you can access this sacred cross,
This vertical awareness at any moment throughout your day and days to come.
And as I count back up from one to five,
Every increasing number will support you integrating this experience,
This embodiment of your highest self.
That's right.
One,
Becoming aware of your body.
Clarity,
Calm,
Integration flowing in and around you.
Two,
Noticing the surface beneath you.
Three,
Feeling yourself re-energized,
Revitalized as you come back.
Four,
Bringing movements to your body.
Gently beginning to smile and prepare to open your eyes.
Five,
Opening your eyes when ready.
Feeling refreshed,
Grounded,
And present.
And as you continue throughout your day,
You may find yourself naturally remembering that at every crossroads,
Awareness is available.
And with awareness,
You can transform any moment into a step towards your highest becoming.
